Facebook share button

I think Mylot is just fine the way it is. I really don't think we need a like or a share button. You could cut and paste and add anything to your status bar if you feel the need. Share and like are FB originated. I would care for it someplace else. Just wouldn't be the same.

might be nice but then wouldn we be like FB some people just take over your page LIke one person has on my daughters page she is about ready to let her go says no one else can write anything lololol

I have never seen a myLot discussion posted anywhere on FB to try and get people to respond back too, or interest others in wanting to become a member here. Would be nice if there were easier ways to get a Referral from there though. But maybe this is something they could eventually work on?

It is possible to share discussions on FB. It just requires a little manual effort. Simply select the URL of the discussion you want to share and paste it into your Wall post. If you want to ALSO include your referral ID (so that anyone visiting the discussion who is not a MyLot member will become your referral when they join up), just add ?ref=meme0907 (no spaces) to the end of the URL before you actually post it. I believe that just a little manual work is a good thing. It is just too easy to clike a 'Like' or a 'Share' button. Having to copy and paste a URL gives one time to think "Do I really want to do this?" ... and it also means that you can type some introductory text as well as add your referral ID!

I would not like that at all. If this was available I would never use it as On Facebook I am known by my real name whereas here on myLot I enjoy the anonymity of being able to discuss situations and give opinions that I would prefer my family and friends not be aware of. Thereby avoiding hurt feelings.

I think that is a great idea. We could also tweet them on twitter.
