Hello mylotters! I just want to share how anxiety affects our health. Our body responds to what our mind speaks. we have many responses to anxiety like back ache, headache, constipation or diarrhea, weight gain or weight loss, insomnia, palpitations, fatigue, high blood pressure, stiff neck and many as it is always subjective or depends on how a person reacts to his/her own anxiety.POOR EMOTIONAL HEALTH CAN WEAKEN OUR IMMUNE SYSTEM thus, leads us more prone to disease.AND IF YOU"RE FEELING STRESSED OR UPSET, YOU MAY FEEL UNHAPPY AND yOU WILL NOT LIKELY TO EAT or TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Could you tell more something about it mylotters?

I had to give up my teaching career because of stress. I was very sick with high blood-pressure and my normal female cycle was badly disrupted. I've had to learn how to keep calm and controlled and not allow myself to get stressed. I'm a lot happier and healthier now!

Hello yes thats the fact to all that we can feel much stress in our daily lives especially that we are not really goos on how to handle those issues.Even if we are not doing anything we still is stress.I agree we have different reaftion to stress all we can do is to handle those in a good way.We can unwind to reduce stress it just depend on us for how we can handle things and make it in a simple. We may have a good balance in life. Gave ample time to eat, exercise and rest and sleep so we can have better living. We may prevent those diseases that are common today.

It is too sad to see that many are being bombarded with all the stresses in life. It is really true that when you are stressed the optimum condition of your physical, mental, emotional and psychological status is greatly affected. That is why, we should not deal on it for too long find a way to divert your attention submit your self into relaxation techniques or maybe, faced the stress immediately so that i will be over as soon as possible. I am still lucky at this moment because I was not able to experience my worst stress ever but i am preparing myself for that.

I agree that anxiety affects our health. There are many symptoms of anxiety. I know some people believe that it is just in our heads, meaning we just think we have it but that there is no such thing. I don't believe that. I have a bad habit of gritting my teeth, my jaws will start to hurt when I do this. I do it bad when I have anxiety. I can go for months or years and not do it then when I start having anxiety I will grit my teeth, especially at night. I know there are other symptoms as well such as twitching your thumb.

I agree with you o2bnocn, people that don't have anxiety don't know what it is like, so they think it's just in your head. Some people think depression is just in your head too. So with that being said, anxiety in a way too is in your head. Now, let me explain, because anxiety is REAL!! The reason I said it's in your head is because it is proven that depression is a malfunction in the brain. I think too, that anxiety is a malfunction in the brain, because it has to do with handling stress. Sometimes when you can't handle stress, you get panicky, fidgety, nervous etc... These things are all connected to the brain. It might even escalate, because you're thinking these reactions aren't normal and then you start having physical systems like heart/pulse beating faster, clamminess or sweating. So then it even escalates more because you wonder what's wrong with you....then you wonder what's going to happen to you...it's a vicious cycle. But seeking medical attention, a big relief will be lifted off your shoulders because then you will know that you might have panic/anxiety attacks and try to learn to deal with them.

immune in our body decreases, because of anxiety. also, our chakras get frustrated. hence the answer(answer is not complete; but i know this much). due to anxiety, our sleep becomes less and less, which in turn affects health.

Anxieties affects our body so much, because in our subconscious mind it triggers a lot of stress.

Yes, stress plays a big part in weakening our immune system, consequently making us sick.
So, we should see to it that we are able to manage our stress well. Learn how to prioritize your works, so that it will not overwhelm and stress you.

As you say it can.. but there is also an other side.
People who keep their anger inside, are not telling the truth because they fear the reaction of someone else, people who wear a mask, people who always try to stay friendly, people who say they will forgive but in reality they can't because this takes time, people who don't speak out, all those people who keep their feelings inside or hide them because some friend, doctor, god tells them so get sick too.
Feelings, frustration, anger has to come out and be expressed otherwise you will make your body sick. Same happens to you if you try to live with... this will cost you a lot of energy all that trying.
I think not eating or eating a lot or not taking care of yourelf is not as dangerous as poisoning your own body because you always need to be friendly and kind and attentive and understanding.
Heartattacks and cancer are illnesses that we create that way same with depressions.
It doesn't only depend on your character and dna how many healthy problems you are able to avoid, also the power of positive thinking (plus improving yourself and putting yourself at the first place) is necessary to keep yourself in good shape.
