The Durga Puja festival is over. It went off peacefully. There was apprehension of occasional heavy rain according to weather forecast but happily nothing so happened. There were shiny days all through the festival and we all enjoyed all these days to our hearts’ content, especially the kids who had ‘go merry’ days with friends all along the festival. ‘Kolkata Police’ also performed a Herculean job in maintaining smooth traffic flow and law and order situation under strict control. Like the previous years, there was threat of terrorism but thanks to almighty God that nothing could suppress the undaunted spirit of people and nothing unpleasant happened. It is now the turn to convey greetings of ‘Vijaya’ to all. I have already completed the process of doing so. I also convey my heartiest love and respect to all mylotters through this forum for this auspicious day.
