why is it so impossible?

it is nearly impossible to make any extra money here in NY. actually its nearly impossible to make enough money to get by with.
i have been out of work for over a year because of health issues and rely on my fiance and mother.
i wish there was some way i could make enough money to get by with all my health issues but noone want to hire me for numerous reasons
1) i have panic attacks and severe anxiety
2) i catch every little sickness that goes around and my body makes it ten times worse then it is with everyone else.
3)i have a criminal record from when i was younger,
4) i have a bad back, bad knees, and just about every other bad body part possible.
there is no way for me to get a head in the economy. there are tons of people like me out there, its not our fault that we have week immune systems or whatever. it really sucks

There is a saying in my community that if a worm can find food so can you, even in your condition. Do not lose hope because you are on earth for a reason.
I do not know what else to say so not to get this discussion deleted but there is a way, I am sending you a friendship request and I hope you will at least listen to what I have to say.
Do not lose any hope!

Yes I do admit it sounds funny but it emphasizes that every life is precious.

I have a suggestion! Have you ever tried background work. I know here in LA it is something you can do to make extra money...you sit on set all da, they feed you, you get paid in like 3 days of working and you go home. You can work at your pace, if you get sick you don't have to worry about losing your job becuase there isn't one to lose. You work when you need to or when you want to. It might not be something you want to do but it is worth the try! :-) Good luck!

well it is a great suggestion.
here in NY i really havent heard of any places where they do really anything like that... at least not one thats closer then 2+ hours away. :(
5 years ago i would have been absolutly crazy about this.
when i was younger i used to be into all that kinda stuff
i even got accepted into some modeling/boarding school up here but my grand mother pushed me way to hard into everything and i declined. i mean she was like psycho about it all. she would do things like make me walk around for hours with books on my head, eat drink sleep it was all about modeling, acting, and all that sort of stuff and i eventually grew to hate it.
but i still think something like this would be fun to try now that i am far away and out of the grips of her lol.
i will look into it and thank you again

I get sick quite easily too. It's almost like I just have to walk by someone with a cold, and I catch. The worst part is that I work with kids, and you know at least one of them is sick each week. I'm self-employed, though, so there's only me to worry about if I can't work one day. My clients are all pretty flexible about it. Maybe there's a way that you can get work where you're self-employed and just do something for people? I tutor kids in math and science, but there are a lot of other things that people need.

i am the same way. its like they look at me and i catch it.
i cut split and deliver firewood to people around here but the problem is that even though they need the wood noone wants to buy it. i cant make enough money to do anything with.
the other problem is that when i was little i took a bad fall and was temporarily paralyzed and even though now im able to walk and move i still have severe back problems that have to be watched very carefully. if i put to much stress on my back it could cause the paralysis (sp) to come back permanently. there are days that i literally cant move. my back, legs, ect go completely numb and i cant move. the first time it happened i completely freaked out but now i can usually tell when its going to happen.
because of this it is hard to do the wood and work. but i must say when your working with a bunch of people and just kinda collapse and cant move you really freak people out.
im glad that you have found such a good way to make a living by not only helping yourself but others too :)

Don't beat yourself up over it, the world is going through the worst economic collapse there has ever been. It is great depression 2.0 (though the politicos won't admit that) and even some really well qualified and experienced people can't get a job. Take a look at what is happening to people in Greece and Spain, the Greeks are being forced to pay an outrageously high property tax to bail out the bankers or their electricity gets cut off and youth unemployment in Spain is around the 40 - 50% mark, it's happening all over. There must be something you can buy cheap in your local junk or charity shop or get from the recycle centre/freecycle that you can sell on ebay for a small profit, if you can do that once, you can do it again. You can also buy stuff from the pawn shop to sell on ebay too, to get some extra cash. You could try improving your immune system by eating a healthier paleo style diet.

I completely understand! I have a lot of health problems and it is very difficult. I am also 25 so people look at me and I look fine. Even people in my family don't remember that I have problems most of the time. It's things like my back,my neck, my knees(which I've had surgery on both)and my hips. All things that don't show a problem to the outer eye.
I don't have a criminal record so I don't know anything about that.
I've been looking for a job for a while now but there's nothing out there that I can do with my body, it's hard. Also I'm in school full time so that makes things difficult too. And I have two kids at home that are only 3 & 4. They need their mommy!
It's very difficult.
Have you tried something like babysitting? or something that you can do at home?

Do not stop looking. Your not alone on your shoes. I have the same problem. I haven't make any personal sales for a few months now. It's like everybody nowadays has financial issues and we just have to deal with it but we should keep going and loving life. I understand sometimes we want to give up on things but I think it is best to stay positive. There is always hope.

You know what, I think nothing is impossible. You could try using online business. That's what my auntie does for a living. After she stopped teaching because of health issues. She started working online. She has a weak immune system but it did not stopped her from anything. Maybe this could solve your problem.

do not worry that much, people really is hard to be pleased. they judge you even they don't know yet your capacity and capability. you cannot force to let you prove how good you are though you have health problem, but we'll just look on the other side, since you're here in myLot, anyway you can have extra income here,so give enough time here and you'll harvest more and more. God Bless You
