We have many responsibilities- so many in fact, we sometimes wonder how will we able to accomplish everything. Life feels like a whirlpool of activities as we press more tasks into fewer hours. Sometimes I wish there were more than 24 a hours a day so that I have more time to do more things, yet no matter how we try to do things as efficient and and fast as we can it seems that time also passed by so swiftly we never noticed it. The key is to pray, seeking God's wisdom about how to best use our time, then lets begin to do changes and as we do this we will experience a more leisurely schedule and calmer spirit, as well as discover the simplicity we desire. I wake up early in the morning, have my quiet time, its the best secret that my bible study leader to start the day, read God's word for today to sustain us and to prepare us what ever comes along. I dont rush and I take time to hear what God wants to tell. I take time to exercise, just a few bending and stretches to awaken the physical body and take an early bath. Eat breakfast and go for work early. With this lifestyle I have I realized that I am not doing things in a hurry and always have time pause in the office and prepare things before I start my tellering activities. I used to bring work at home but stopped doing it coz I got lesser time to rest and relax at home.God cares about even the smallest detail of our day, so let us trust Him to help us. I am assured that God desires rest for me, taking the heart of the words of Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God." As we pray to the Lord and have faith in His guidance, our lives become less hurried. We will slow down and discover a calm, restful spirit as we live a simple life. Simplify...... Pray each morning for God's wisdom on how you can best use your time that day. Set aside several evenings per week that you commit to being at home. Enjoy peace and rest. Reduce by half the amount of time you watch tv. Take pleasure in conversation, reading, or a quiet hobby instead. I need to slow down. And I'm asking the Lord to help me do it. I want to move slowly enough to be aware of all the joys He has hidden for me. I want to slow down enough to grow as He wants me to grow. I want to be quiet enough to hear Hid voice. I need His wisdom to know how to spend my time and how to order my days. Kathryn Hillen

It is hard to slow down when there is much to do. I moved houses two months ago, whilst I work fulltime. It was very hard finding time to get everything unpacked, go to work, cook good meals, etc. On the weekends, I try to rest a bit. Of course, saturday is my main day for washing and buying the weekly food. I like to read when I rest.

Women are the ones who are mostly faced with these troubles. Men who are also in this frame of a situation are those single fathers. The reason why most women are into this situation is mainly because, we also now strive to earn money by working in those offices or by taking time and effort consuming jobs. All because, we know that we need to make both ends meet as what our husbands earn are not sufficient to keep everything going smoothly. Women in the earlier years were just doing house chores. Keeping the homes at their best shapes was their main tasks. So I remember how homely the residences of people were before. Now, we always hear that mothers are also out doing tasks that men used to be doing and some single women, too. Married women are now also in the rat race. And, this will never look good.

Same with me here, zel. For many years now, I always find 24 hours a day to be so short to be able to accomplish the things which must be done each day. Actually, the reason for this is because, our body aches for rest. If we overwork ourselves, our body system cries for rest and, if we don't heed it, we will get sick...so very, very sick. That is the story of my having had tuberculosis once long ago. We will have to learn to have those most needed rests. Yes, we need to slow down. I have had talks recently with a friend. She told me that she is coping with the tasks in her life by making her children do lots of the house chores and make them help in earning some money in their own capacity. I find her ways to be excellent. Her kids learns to earn money at their young ages, at their own pace. I also hold on to my faith all these years in order to cope with life's demands. I have been through so much these last years of my life. For so long now, I have to bear so much loads which seemingly I couldn't have, had I not hold on to so much faith in God. Actually, I would like to give up already. The pains and the aches are just too much. But the main problem is, it is not my right nor my privilege to give up. I have responsibilities which I must face squarely. I am able to do mylotting again because, I have chosen to slow down my pace in life. I have realized that no matter how I buckle down to work, I can never do accomplish them all at any day of my life. And one great thing that has been happening, I have learned to have as much talk with my kids for, as long as, time permits. So, just be happy and take life in stride. Just do what you can to the best of your ability and then leave the rest to the good Lord. It is important to be healthy to be able to continue doing those things that we must. Day after day. Good luck and have a happy life.

I think that many times we try and beat the clock. When in reality, I think that many times it just puts us further behind in life. Of course, when we get shoved in the pressure cooker that is life, there are going to be a lot of problems with us really getting anything productive done. However, we should not despair. We just not try to beat the flow. Rather, we should go with the flow and see where life brings us. Time tends to be an enemy that many take on. However, it is an enemy that we will not beat. It never seems as if we have much time to really do anything. However, just slow down, take a breath, do what you can do. The more we panic, the more we make mistakes. The more mistakes that we make, the longer it really takes do a lot of the things in the world. It is just really that simple.
