What do Indians Like to Buy Online?

India

I just joined a CPA network and there are few offers for Indians. But I am confused as to what to sell. I am aware that Indians are poor buyers when it comes to online shopping. Maybe I am wrong but I really want to know what products Indians would like to buy online? Gadgets or flowers? Insurance policies or T-shirts? Can someone give me some tips?

gadgets are the ones indians would prefer buying online, i guess.I have never bought anything online, just like most of the people who think buying online is not very safe.Definitely they would not get insurance policies online because they need the help of insurance agents for that.So i guess electronic products and other things that are difficult to get from local shops is what they would prefer buying.

Thanks for joining the discussion. You say that 'electronic products and other things that are difficult to get from local shops is what they would prefer buying'. Hmmmm.........you are giving me an idea. So to sum up all, I think I should sell something that is not easily available and something which is cheaper than those sold at local markets.

The thing is: 1. Indians will think more while trying to buy online due to lack of exposure to online shopping. Now more and more sites are coming up like myntra and yebhi which are motivating people to shop online. 2. Try selling things that are not available in India very easily. Lie I got interested in a doorway pull up bar that's not available in India but very useful. Also there was this HUGO deospray that got me interested but the cost knocked my socks off!!! Hope this helps.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, I know about Myntra and Yebhi. I bought a Chennai Super Kings jersey from Myntra with my name on the back. Thanks for your advice!

May be gadgets, I guess. I myself visited some online malls, but every item seemed to be highly priced. (T-shirts, shoes, watches, glasses etc.) So, I guess average people will be thinking like me. Indians, as far as I've observed, like to earn from internet and less likely intend to purchase anything. If the site requires credit card information, most of them get scared. May be Insurance Policies they will buy. Or gadgets like Cellphones from reputed sites, they may buy.

Thanks for your response. I thought people avoided insurance agents because they try to get on top of you. So do you think, people would like to buy insurance online? You are right about Indians being scared in giving away their card information. In fact most Indians don't have one. Neither do I. Regarding gadgets like cellphones, there's Flipkart, etc. Well I don't know but thank you for giving me some ideas.

Most Indian like to buy Indian traditional sarees, suit, wedding dresses, fashion jeweleries and electronic accessories in my opinion. I usually visit for doing online shopping online at http://indiaemporium.com and first look at some interactive product and cart all those for which i demanded or which suit according to my personality/look.

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately my network does not have saree offers.....T-shirts, yes. I could give electronic accessories a try. Hey, I did visit the site you mentioned. I really liked the designs of those sarees. I don't know about the quality but they look real good.

In my opinion most Indians prefer buying Sarees, Salwar kameez, Kurtis, Bridal wear, Handy crafts in online portals, as they come in much cheaper price when compared to that of physical stores. I personally bought some amazing stuff from http://www.indiantag.com/ at Wholesale prices. They shipped it for free and its been delivered on time...
