Yesterday, I finally went to the doctor. After going 4 days with a fever, sore throat, a slight cough, not wanting to eat,and getting nausea. This is the first time in over a year since we moved that I've had to see a doctor for being sick. Well I come to find out got an bacterial infection not to fun to have. Each day I would get get another symptom to add on to my list of not feeling good. Now I got medication and feeling betting. Although its still a mystery to why I'm not having a period at all. I've taken 4 home test 2 inconclusive and 2 with negative signs. The doctor ran her own home pregnancy test but with me it doesn't show up till I'm almost 3 months along. I'm only 9 days late now and thinking if I should just call me doctor next week after we move in to our new place weekend and just have a blood test done. I hate having to take home pregnancy test because when I don't get a positive sing I get all worked up even if I'm not ready to pregnant it still hurts me so deeply to get that kind of sign. I don't think my husband quite understands how it makes me feel even though I've told him. With my daughter it took me 5 home pregnancy test before I got a positive sing that I was pregnant with her. I was 8 weeks alone and literary the month before my 5th test I took 4 that June and didn't get anything at all. My hcg levels where every slow at rising that it took forever for the test to find anything at all. The 5 and 6 one was the one that made me go and see my doctor about being pregnant and they did the blood test to confirm that the test was correct. I'm not the only one in my family that has this probably. I have never in my life been this far along with out a period outside of being pregnant with my daughter. When I found out about my daughter I was 8 weeks along and I thought I was 4 weeks along because of the test.

There are many things that can cause a pregnancy test to be negative when they are actually pregnant. Are you taking them first thing in the morning? They are usually more accurate than those taken later in the day. When we suspected that my daughter was pregnant, she took a couple of tests that came up negative. We did some research and found that the home pregnancy tests are only about 97% accurate. It could be something as simple as your not holding it in the stream of urine long enough, or that the test was older. Perhaps we didn't time it right. Check this site out for some more tips. http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/pregnanttestnegative.html If you're trying to have another baby (Which I suspect you are from the way this discussion is worded) I pray that you will have success!
