Between the two, Samsung. Better specs. I think Nokia is at bottom of my list. :) I still prefer my BB and sony-ericsson. :))

yskaps,
As far as smartphones are concerned, I believe my choice will be Samsung here. Comparing the latest Nokia N9 and Samsung Galaxy S II, I feel the latter really is the phone to go for in terms of operating system, apps, feel and most of all performance.
Specifications for Samsung Galaxy S II:
Camera:
8 Megapixel Auto-focus, 4 x digital zoom, 2MP front facing camera
Network:
GSM, EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz3G, UMTS, WCDMA, 2100, 19003.5G HSPA+ 21Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps
Operating System:
Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread)
Display:
800x480 pixels; 4.27" 16M color WVGA SUPER AMOLED
Internal Memory:
16GB internal memory
External Memory:
expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD Card
Unique Features:
WiFi enabled, Tethering and portable hotspot, AllShareTM (DLNA), Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Support HDMI cable, Support AdobeĀ® Flash Player, 3rd parties Chinese software required for input.
On the side, I am just not comfortable with Nokia N9's Linux based operating system - MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan for a start and their phones does not have an external memory slot to allow us to expand with their 16GB/64GB models. To me that is just unacceptable limitation here.
