Search Engines - Too many?

Though there are now a good number of search engines but I do not believe that we are now saturated with many options. I think there is enough scope for the emergence of some other search engines.

I don't think that there are too many search engines exactly, although I do agree with you in the sense that there have been a lot more around lately. Everybody seems to be able to see just how much money the larger search engines are able to earn during the course of the average year, and they are all thinking that they might be able to get a little bit of that if they were to try to create their own. Obviously they never get the right amount of traffic, though, because most people will just stick to using the search engine that they know.
