How can I make money by blogging?

I am interessted in making a steady income by blogging.I have researched many websites but am overwhelmed with the choices offered. Do you have any suggestions on where I should sign up to blog so that I can make a steady and decent income?

I just began a similar discussion. I am not interested in making a steady income by blogging -- just some extra money. But like yourself, I am confused by the choices. I also do not think that I quite understand blogging. And am seeking information. I have received one response so far but I just began my discussion just like yourself. I will keep my eye on responses you might get. And you might do the same with my discussion.
