Do you help and love others only because there is heaven in the sky?

God promised that people who do good will be able to enter the heaven. What if there is no God or there is no promise? Are you still going to do good?I just wonder about it.I know many just do good because they want to enter the heaven and not be punished in the end.
I salute those atheists who do good and love others. They do good although they don't believe in the promise or God.They love outside the influence of God.They love sincerely.Hehe.
What do you think about it?

No, do not salute those atheists. One can do good only by firstly acknowledging God's presence in our day to day lives. That is the foremost thing that we should do. Because, always we should ask for God's guidance at the start of each day so that we will not be doing evil things. Then before sleeping, we will always ask for God's protection as we go to sleep because, God alone can keep watch upon us as we let all our defenses down in sleep.
The main reason that we are doing good is simple. It makes life easy and simple to live. People become kind and friendly to us because, they find it good to have us around since we are kind and helpful.
Whenever we are in trouble, people who know us will immediately lend a hand because, they know us to be kind and helpful.
So, if we learn to love others, others will love us in return. If we learn to be kind and helpful, we will reap the fruits of it.
If God's law is for each of us to love our fellowmen as we love ourselves, it is actually telling us to observe a way of life which will make everything move in each one's proper order.

It is inherent among men to love and care for one another. Immediately, you will instinctively lend a helping hand to someone you have never seen before who has slipped and can hardly pull himself up straight again. You will offer whatever food you have to somebody who asks for food because someone stole his meal. There were times when I go out of my way and buy some food for someone so needy for it.
When we do this, we do not think of God's law of love. We are only aware that a person nearby needs our help and there is something that we can do about it.

Ofcourse not because simply there is no such things as heaven in the sky to begin whit . So i love everybody that i love because they are close friends and m family that is always next to me when i need them . Since there is no such thing as heaven i will simply tell you cant love someone because there is some imaginary things such as heaven :P simpel as that . My love is true because i'm a just a human with feelings , and they are effected by me only :)

Yeah. That is the answer I am looking for.We love and search for a peaceful life because we are human and wants to be loved in return. It just feels good whenever other people tell us how they love us.I think there is no need to think about heavenIf we love each other life here is already heaven.:)

I don't beleive in Heaven.
but I do beleive in doing right. BECAUSE I beleive it is right. not because I will be rewarded for doing so. not because I will be punished if I don't.
but because I am responsible for my own actions and I want to be able to look myself in the eyes and say I did what was right.
my Gods will not reward or punish me. I have no ones judgement but my own to live up to, and I want to do what I beleive is right.

well, i don't believe in heaven and hell. But what i believe in is that if you do good to others, it make them happy and in turn you would also feel good seeing them happy. It is a feel good factor, and if it dosn't hurt why not do good and feel good about it. help someone and you will see that it would make you happy too.

Yes,it's very happy to see the smile of the people we see.It feels fulfilling especially when we know they appreciate it.We should not help only because there is heaven but because we just love to help and love...

It's an instinct not because we are aware that God is watching us.
Look at the animals, they have instinct to care for their siblings and help each other.
They know how to protect their domains and their territory as well.
What more with human like us.
Have a good day

Hmmmmmmmm i dont think i do. But i think there would be many people in the world that do it just for that reason, even unconciously. I think it is very hard to serve and do stuff for god without thinking, "ooh i wonder what reward im going to get for this goodie goodie", but when people do, you often hear of stories of great reward

I honestly do want to fully love all those around me, so I can make many friends and have the dignity of being loyal to them, but there are times where I just have this weird sense of hate for people I don't know, which I know I must get passed. Even if there wasn't a heaven or God, which pains me to say, I would still want to stand up for my friends, all people, and love them. I honestly don't believe being a good person earns people the right to enter through heaven though or the right to be classified as a good person;I believe you can only enter if you are saved through Jesus Christ, or God himself, and be classified as a good person, when there's no hidden intention. For example, someone randomly comes up and gives you money for whatever you may need, would you accept them, or would you accept their kind offer? I believe people should only do good deeds, if it is truly in their heart's content to do so, because then they would be lying to themselves and others. As we all know, people can't force themselves into others' hearts, and shouldn't be done just because there's a heaven. God will know our true intentions.
