i have my hair done in burgundy, and i love it. it gave me more confidence and my office mates like it too, they even want to have their hair colored too. it's been a long plan for me to do it, and on my 31st last September, i have it done for a change. i am glad i did because the result is good and it looks great on me.
how about you? did you ever come to your mind to have your hair colored? or have you already experienced it?what do you think about it? i'll be glad to know your experience, thanks and happy mylotting!

hi there churchill!
i had plans of having my hair dyed but i am just too afraid to try it.
all were just attempts. i want to color my hair just like what you have colored your hair now but i am just too afraid that it would not suit me.
i am too coward for a new look and i think i need ten years for me to save my strength of trying something new.
anyway.. congrats for the new look!

thank you for your response.
like you, i was also hesitant and coward before to try on giving my hair new color. i am afraid that the new color won't suit my skin complexion because i am morena. not until last month when i just gain the courage to do it after a long time. my age motivated me to do it though as i am already 31 and i haven't had tried applying color to my hair, or even wore a short hair. so for a change, i thought it will work good on me, and i'm glad it did .
happy mylotting!

Sometimes we need to give ourselves a new look and you are right, you are giving a new aura of lifting up yourself. If we are too conscious of what others are seeing in us and on how they picture us then we should look straight to their eyes and tell them I am beautiful and confidently feeling fresh. As you color your hair it is like changing your wear as in following the latest fashion. For me, I no longer color my hair because my white hair is my award for carrying my responsibility as parent.

you are right, sometimes we need a little change on the way we look, and i am doing it while i am still younger and capable. because i know, when i get a little older, i will have higher and greater responsibilities and doing something for myself could be not on my top list of my priorities. it is also somehow rewarding myself for the good 30 years and for the brighter 31st of my life.

There is a lot difference when you feel beautiful. Personality really counts that you will not be degraded as you talk to somebody or anybody for that matter, confidence deep within is serving you unknowingly. It is like as if you are rich even if you do not have money at all

I think I would leave my hair colour as it is for now. But then when I needed a cool style, I would use wax and style it in a spiky shape. I think there's a name for that style though I've no idea what the name is, but anyway it looks quite cool, and it really attracts other people's attention in a positive way.

wow! so you know well how to style your hair. that's great! i am not good on making styles with my hear, though i love to wear long hair up to my butt. i do my daughter's hair only in ponytail, that sometimes she will complain about it saying that i don't know any styles other than that

well at the start i wasn't that good with styling as well. I just experimented around, and eventually found the style that suits me best. So you might need a bit of trial and error to find a style that your daughter would like.

Hi! Very rarely do I have my natural hair color. I've been dying my hair on and off again since I was about eight or so, mostly because I get really bored with the same color for too long. When I was about ten, I had hair down past my butt and it was dyed a bright, carrot-like orange (the color didn't turn out to be what was on the box). I also competed in horseback-riding events at the time, so you can imagine what that looked like with my long orange hair flowing in the wind!
My hair is naturally a dishwater blonde, but I can't stand blonde hair. I've experimented with browns, auburns, and I even tried black (the hair dye ended up dying nothing but my shower walls from when I rinsed the color out, so I still don't know how that would have went). I've stayed with the same color for almost two years now, which is a first for me. I absolutely love the hair dye...it costs $2.00 per box at my husband's work, dyes my hair a purplish-red (which is oddly natural looking despite how exotic that sounds), and when the color inevitably fades a few weeks later, it fades to a reddish-auburn that is still gorgeous. It's a win-win! The hair color it fades to is also close enough to my natural color that when my roots start growing out, it's not very noticeable. Therefore, I can go six months without needing to dye again...meaning I spend about $4.00 per year on hair color.
I think I'll always love being a redhead. It's attention catching, vibrant, and my name's Rosie, so it just happens to make sense. :D

wow!you really is into hair color and you are so lucky that you'ge got that cheaper hair color which work well on you. i'll try to look for it too here in our country. we have a lot of cheaper hair color but it just doesn't give you the look you've wanted. i am even afraid to try it, because it might destroy my hair, making it look dull and dry. i am glad that you've got the right one, i hope i could also find like that one in here

I hv been doing that for a few yrs. I tried colouring my own hair the first time round but it was really messy. Then I went from place to place trying to find a cheap but yet ideal form of colouring that suits me. However, every place that I tried wasn't giving me what I wanted. And without fail, every one of them made my scalp itch. A few of these places made my scalp itch terribly after colouring. Finally, I found one salon that is the most ideal. The price is reasonable. The hairstylist recommended a natural dye. The sve was gd; I was treated like a queen even tho' I only paid $55 for it. Btw, e price included shampooing. The best part was that I didn't hv to put up with an itchy scalp!:)

that's great, but oh a little expensive, i only paid more or less $17 for my hair color. i am happy that you have a very nice experience with the saloon though, and become very contented with their service. it is really good that professionals are the one doing it for us, because they know well about how and what certain products works best for our hair types.

I colored my own hair too, and I like the result also. After I have done it every one mistakenly done it in a salon. It became a habit for me now to color my own hair after the first one last year. It also compliment my skin, but mind you, I only use the cheaper one.

new hair color somehow lighten up one's face and could make a different aura in a person, and this is what i am experiencing right now. it's a nice feeling to be new again and to look great with the new look. i am also happy that my friends find it good on me, because it's my first time to have my hair colored. i am just a bit worried for the maintenance of it, that i have to color my hair every six weeks, i hope it won't damage my hair.

I have wanted to colour my hair since I was 15, but I was just a little bit worried about the fact that if I started to do that, I would have to continue doing so every six weeks for me to be able to look at my best. A couple of months ago, I decided that I was just doing to do it and become the colour that I have always wanted to be. I love my hair now, and I regret leaving it so long before I decided to colour it. I now plan to re-do it every six weeks so that my roots don't show through quickly, and I am sure that it will continue to look this good.

yeah, having a new color of your hair especially it it's what you've always wanted to do will give you more confidence and be happy for yourself. at least the decision is worth it! the contentment it gives is worth the wait although there is a need for us to color our hair that often. i am hoping that it won't ruin our hair and we'll still look our best .

Hi there.
Nice to meet you. :) I guess every girls will have their hair dyed at least 2 times in their life.
I did mine every 2 -3 months once, I don't know if I need to be frequent, but i guess this is the way most people did it here.
Asian will dye their hair with other equally brown colour to enhance their features and to be more trendy in today's style.

I'm fine with my hair color, its black with some random white ones. I'm also not against changing hair color. It's just a matter of personal preference. But if I ever change my hair color, I'd also change my hair-style. I want the hair style of goku in supersaiyan mode with matching green eyes LOL!

I have naturally got dark brown hair that is straight. When I was a teenager I used to put henna on my hair and it made my hair a little lighter with ginger tones. It made my hair in very good condition. My hair would shine and bonce. At 16 years old I had my hair permed to make it look curly and had ginger low lights. I found that long term it made my hair in poor condition. Before long I was using henna on my hair again.
At 32 years old my ex-boyfriend said for our trip to Turkey I should get a hair cut, hair style and hair dye. He bought me some hair style magazines. I decided to get my hair cut just a little and have my hair dyed gingery. It was a color about four shades lighter than my normal hair color. My ex-boyfriend thought it looked gorgeous. It gave me more confidence and very happy.
Your hair sounds really lovely and it is superb many people like it.

when i was in my college, i also apply black henna on my hair, to make it appear darker and thick. i even try using blackening shampoo on it, because my hair looks dull before. then i realized i must apply vitamins and treat it with hot oil to bring back the life and shine on my hair, luckily it works.
for a change, on my 31st birthday, i colored it with burgundy. i am glad that it suits my complexion.

Good for you
I saw many people having their hair dyed.
Some are good and some don't look good with their new hair color.
Burgundy is my mom's favorite hair color.
I do it for her and I like the effect on her face.
It gives her a younger look and compliments her very pale (white) complexion.
Have a good day

i am sad to hear that you need to have your hair be blacken because you don't like the result of the hair color applied on you. as for my hair, i relly choose someone who is reliable and have a good reputation with regards to working on hair. and since i don't have any idea on how to choose the best hair color for me, i let him choose the color that would compliment with my skin complexion. i am really thankful that it turned out great. i hope when you have your hair colored again, you will already like the color for you.

my husband won't allow me to have my hair colored too, so i ask it as a birthday gift from him. i really want to try something i haven't tried for my 31 years. and hair color is too attractive for me, perhaps for a change too. you are right, the chemical to be used on your hair should really be safe for your hair type, reason why i choose someone reliable and got a good reputation in doing hair styles. i am glad the result is good, and i am happy for it.
