Yeah...Yard sale is such a nice idea on which you could sales your used clothings or any thing as long as it's still useful. Going to a yard or a garage sales would makes you saved some of your money because it is affordable and also quality.

Yes Kylanie, I have been to many yard sales. They have them here every weekend during the Spring and Summer months. The last thing that I bought at a yard sale was a baby car seat a couple of weeks ago. I have a great grandchild and I needed a car seat for my car. His other grandmother always keep the car seat in her car and takes it to work with her.

We don't have yard sales in the UK but we do have car boot sales, where people can sell things from the back of their cars in a designated zone. You can get some great bargains there, some of the people run their stalls like a small shop, with items that are much cheaper than the same thing in the stores...

I go to many during the spring and summer. Though for the most part we don't need alot of things. I usually go to them to find things for my kids. As you said it's a great way to save money especially when you can't afford retail or don't want to. But since
I've been trying to behave myself I've been sticking to church rummages mainly and just go out when I know the kids need something. Like I knew my middle needed more winter tops, found a rummage that her and my son's sizes so we did well there. As I usually buy some for the current season and I also buy ahead so they always have something that will fit them.
You did well with finding a comforter for $1. It's nice when people price things to get rid of them not to charge clearance or thrift store prices.

I used to go to yard sales almost every weekend, but I have to say that it isn't something that I take part in all that much anymore. I will try to go to one at least once every month so that I can see what is on offer. I find that some of the bargains that you can get at yard sales are fantastic and like things that you can't get anywhere else. I often buy things from yard sales and will then sell them online for a profit. I generally manage to make around £100 profit from each yard sale that I attend, as obviously I can only buy what I can carry home as I don't have a car at the moment.
