feeling upset due to poor internet service

I was at the middle of my writing when suddenly my internet connection stops for unknown reason. I have tried to called and followed-up the situation but I feel annoyed when the Customer Care Specialist from the internet service provider that I am talking to does not know the real cause of the disrupted connection. As in, he cannot answer my question. Instead of him to give me the possible troubleshooting solution, it is I who initiated if I can do some possible troubleshooting. I really dont know if they really aware and knew what they are doing but, since they are accepted to work on that post, they should know what to do. Really, what kind of service that globe has. Perhaps they should undergo a thorough training to serve their customers.

Which connection are you using, i mean who is your ISP? I too faced such situation with my ISP. Reliance broadnet. Internet used to frequently get disconnected. They gave me a 2Mbps connection, but for the past 1 month i am getting 600kbps. I have complained several times. Yet no problem.

If you had a deadline in writing then it was really upsetting, but you could always stay on the page that you are still working on and copy paste it in a word so that if the connection restored then you could simply paste what you write during offline!

hi there airkulet, this is one thing that i am doing. that using the time in a maximise way. so that when connection begins, i am ready with my postings. nice one!

Oh.. i have heard a lot of not so good reviews and even some nasty complaints about the globe service of internet. even their broadband (wifi) is the same. its of poor quality and they cannot or maybe will not help you because the frontliners are not capable of helping you resolve the issue. they would ask you to restart, ask you to do some other silly stuffs... etc...

I feel for you as I know how you feel because I have had some problems with my internet connection lately too. I was typing a response for mylot and after taking 15 minutes to type it out my computer went down and kicked me right off the internet. I was so angry that I did all that typing for nothing. I couldn't get it up for a couple hours. I phoned customer service after an hour and they told me the whole area was down so I just had to be patient. This time it wasn't just me, like most times. I have had to have the service guy here a few times. They tell me sometimes I have a signal that is too strong and a too strong signal is just as bad as a weak signal. That time they had to change all the wires in my house. But as far as the people on the phone, usually they are pretty helpful for me when it is something we can fix without them having to come out. I am not all that great with the computer so for them to be able to walk be through some troubleshooting and fixing problems is saying a lot. I give those customer service people a lot of credit as I am sure they come across a lot of grumpy people and have to put up with a lot.... Cheers and happy mylotting, Chris

I agree, sometimes the people over the phone can't really help. nevertheless, try to change you ISP or updgrade. maybe that could help :)

hey i'm currently into this same problem... and I just found this discussion upon posting my entry. and my ISP is also globe. today was the 2nd day without connection, and i'm so pissed off that no one even called me. and you are right i spoke with two agent, but none of them satisfied with me. i already know what they should do since this isn't the first time I was into this trouble. apart from their supposed first-aid there isn't any other support they can give us.b too bad!

When i got internet connection in my place, the speed was really horrible and there were times when i felt like throwing out my system as work were not carried out accordingly and at my time.But now introduction of broadband has eased it all as i am getting good internet speed and there are also news that internet speed will be increased very much high in coming years and this is really a good news for all of us as frustration will be very less here onwards

I hate it when I have just spent the best part of an hour writing an article and then my internet goes down. It makes me annoyed simply because of the fact that I worked hard on it and now will no longer be able to submit it in order to earn the money that I feel as though I deserve. It makes me wonder just how on Earth we managed to cope in our lives before we had internet connections, because it just seems as though we spend our days using the internet and earning money online, whereas in the past we would have probably had to work a lot harder for the money that we're earning now.

Well, that's really anger me because we pay our subscription regularly and should be exchange with good service but those internet company did not mind about their service...there must be a law to sue them for such things

I've been in same situation last 2 days ago. My connection went interrupted and I called the customer service of my ISP. He did well when assisting with my problem but my connection was not restored still and give me report number for follow up. Then..after an hour of trying to connect, my connection was restored but a bit slow. I called again and hope this will be resolved soon. have a good day

Yeah it's really frustrating when this happens in our internet connection . And the sad part this internet provider put people who don't even know anything about their job. They should have given them basic knowledge at least before they hired them.

That's what we get for not opening up the market. There are only two internet providers in the Philippines, it's either PLDT or Globe, the rest are just pawns. That is why we need to open up our country to foreign providers. If there are more competitions, there are more options. And these companies will have to upgrade their system if they want their customers to stick with them. If not, we can always choose the next best thing.

Yes, I really hate it when I'm doing something important and then the Internet connection will be lost. Sometimes when I was typing long response here in my lot, my Internet connection will suddenly be lost and all the things I have typed will be deleted. That was why I learned to always copy and paste before doing anything.

Even i had faced such kind of situation, when i am commited with some important work in internet. Yes i agree that cutomer service people should be properly trained to find the root cause of the problem immediately

Yes friend you are right when net connection is slow we feel irritated but we cant do anything. May be your virus problem or net problem. Specially when we want to join mylot and net connection harrashing us then feel bad.

Poor internet connection is really hassle especially your doing something.Your provider should provide the right solution for problems like to satisfy their customers.Your right,they must have thorough training on how serve their customers well.
