Arsenal struggled to a victory against Sunderland. They finally beat them 2-1 thanks to two goals from Van Persie, the second coming as late as 83rd minute to take the full three points from the match. But Arsenal were very poor in the first half despite dominating the possession and going ahead 1-0 very early in the game. Sunderland who were also very poor managed to equalize through Larrson. It looked like Arsenal would again have to settle for a draw against a weaker opposition, but Van Persie finally scored to give Arsenal a much needed victory!!
Cheers!

It is very common that when a team scores and early goal, the players will get a bit relaxed and they think that this will be an easy task, that the game will be won by itself. I have heard many retired football players saying this and I tend to believe them.
I haven't seen the game, but it really sounds like it was a game which is giving right to the people who say this.

It seems that Arsenal is getting back on the right track when they can win this kind of games, which are called dirty wins. This is a characteristic of great teams only.

I have seen the game, although I was watching three games at once, but I think the referee helped Arsenal a lot yesterday. I remember the commentator saying that the referee is no way near the quality of the Champions League and he spoiled the game. I was not so attentive, but I guess Andre Santos had to be given the red card in the first half and Marseille should have got a penalty awarded also. If this things would have happened, I guess the outcome would have been another. But we cannot prove this, can't we?

Yes, this winning performance by Arsenal like they have shown on second half should be maintain for the rest of the league. Otherwise they will have difficulty to compete against other contenders.Lucky they still have brilliant player like van persie who able to show difference in the high pressure to win in front of their own crowds.. I think its urgency for Arsene wenger to purchase new player on the january transfer window, they really lack of experience players and so many young players who still unstable performance..what do you think?

As an Arsenal fan, I have not been impressed by what I have seen from the gunners so far. They have played without fluidity and have lost important matches. Today, they did scratch a win, but if they continue to play like this, I do not see them reach the top 4 which would be a very minimal expectation out of them. Arsene Wenger needs to get the boys to pull up their socks!!
Cheers!

yes, they looks have not given best performance like they did when Fabregas, Nasri still playing there..They remind me of Liverpool on last season who almost at relegation zone but finally they survived after King Kenny took a lead. For Arsenal case, I think Wenger still good but only need additional key and experience players now..

Any Gunners' victory is a good victory now. Yes, they are a pale shadow of their old self. In fact, they have never looked convincing in any of their victories. But, with their wretched start, they are still building their confidence slowly and with each victories, they are slowly crawling back in that aspect.
