How do you know who your best friend is?

Almost everybody has a best friend, a friend who you value above all the rest. But what makes this person so special? Why value them above all others? Some people go by who they've been friends with longest, others by who they feel closest too. Some go by who they have the most fun with. I personally go by who I spend the most time with, time in which I'm enjoying myself that is. What do you go by? What are your thoughts on this matter?

my best friend for me is the one I am most comfortable with. someone that neither I nor that person find any difficulties to be ourselves. we dont need to put our masks in front of each other. a person who brings the best of me, who warns me before I make bigger mistakes, trusts in me even when nobody does. and well the most all of it, person who understands me.

Just trust your heart. your heart will know who is your best friend. it could be people around you, or... yourself.

Yourself, that is so true you really do have to like yourself, love yourself and be your own friend and like hanging out with yourself before you can enjoy other peoples friendships

My husband is my best friend, he is always here for me through the good and bad times and we get along really well together. My children are also my best friends, love to hang out and chill with them. They are just so loving and still want lots of hugs nad kisses even though they are all over the age of 12

You know, sometimes best friends hurt you more, than person who you hate. And always are small things when your friends show you how good or bad friend she/he are... Sometimes after 10 years you get know, that your best friend are your bad friend.. And sometimes person whou you don't think abaut friend are your best friend and angel too I have 2 best friends and always shes show how good are friends!!!

I go by how close I feel with e person. Trust is another factor. The more I can trust a friend, e closer I might feel with her. However, e one that I share my most secret thoughts, etc, need not b mý best friend. So, to qualify s mý best friend, e person has to b worthy of my trust and I must feel close to her.
