Love is said to be of many things, and of many many emotions joined together... we always see or hear or read about people asking what is love, what is it all about...
Now, let us talk about what Love isnt. In My opinion...
LOVe is not a fairy tale. When two people fall in love, its not always what we expect it to be.
Love is not always Happy. It is always a constant work between two people in love.

great disscussion. I personally have a lot of thoughts on this subject. Love is not easy, it takes work and dedication. Love is NOT blind, despite what everyone may think. Just because you love someone, doesn't mean that you don't notice the bad things about the person you love. Love is NOT forever. There are times when things come inbetween people, or when people simply fall out of love. Love is not free, you pay for it with hard work, trust, faith, hope and laughter.

I couldn't agree more! In the movies we often see fairytale-like love stories but in real life, to make a relationship work, the two people involved must nourish it, and work hard, make commitments and compromises. People are in awe of people who have been in a relationship for many years and they sometimes think it's because it's destiny. However, the couple in question surely have gone through lots of hard times which they decided to go through together.

People have always thought about the great things about love.. Well It is great but it does not end when one feels love.
It is only the beginning of a lot of things we do not know and we have yet to discover about love, right?!
You are correct Katcarneo, Love is not like that of those in the movies, they are too superficial, fake ones where one would do anything for the love, to win back a woman, but then in reality.. how can you always see the person you supposedly love when you have to make a living 10hours a day, 5 times a week...

Love is not fair. There will always be an instance that one of you gives more love than what you receives. But guess what, you still continue to love that person because when you're in love, you don't care much about your happiness. You always say in your self that you are happy as long as s/he is happy. And that is b*** s***! :)
We all deserve to be loved the way we want to be loved and we all deserve to be happy.

I like your comment about love not being fair.
I agree too that it is not possible for love to always go on a one way street. love not given back is no love at all.
I'd say it is hard to love someone and seeing them happy with other person would only make us miserable.

Love is purely selfless and fearless but because we humans have EGOistic tendencies,we corrupt Love with EGOistic emotions like jealousies,hate,doubt,mistrust,dishonest..etc...all the bad things happening in a relationship is NOT Love actually obviously but people tend to associate it with Love...
How can you say that LOVE kills when it is Jealousy and Anger are the ones that Kills an unfaithful partner by a furious,jealous and wrathful deceived partner?

Love is not my cup of tea.
You know I have tried many times but everytime got failure.
Okay this was personnal.
For me love can never be a prison. People who are in love are free birds. They want to touch the sky and mind you no one can stop them because it gives them immense power. They are on top of the world. Yes, it can not be a prison. Lovers are free from this world.
I love love but seems that it hate me! lol

Sounds like a poem, but I think love is the caring between two person intimately. When love can be achieved, both person are in love, they rather suffer for another one, and won't let another one to be in pain. That is what I think love is all about.

Yes, love should always be a constant work between people. When one is angry, the other one should try to be calm and make a way to calm his partner. They should also be willing to make their own sacrifices to keep their marriage strong. They should also be forgiving and considerate of each other's shortcomings.
