Are you passionate about shoes or blouses?

Almost everyone knows that many women are passionate about shoes. Who is not familiar with the number of shoes the former Philippine First lady, Imelda Marcos, possesses. She is said to have had 3,000 pairs. There is a complete museum devoted to her foot wear.
I once read that women own 17 pairs of shoes on average. I must admit I have many more. Today I was sorting out my summer and winter clothes and counted 94 blouses. I did not count my shoes, but I am sure I have fewer shoes than blouses.
Two questions:
Why are so many women passionate about shoes?
Are you passionate about blouses, why or why not?

I am not passionate about shoes or blouses or clothes.
I don't like shopping and I seldom see the kind of clothes I like.
Might change if I am able to order clothes from elsewhere (other countries) by internet or so.
And if it comes to shoes... it's hard for me to walk on them. My toes are always very painful so I can only keep them on for a short time. I prefer to walk without any. Which I can't since it's way to cold here most of the time.
So I walk with socks on and if I find some shoes I will walk with them till they fall apart. Which means I buy once a year or once every 2 years some new shoes.
I wonder if women are passionate about shoes or clothes. If probabably because they are raised like that (a girl has to look beautiful) or the clothes/shoes make them feel beautiful and more satisfied with themselves as with ordinairy, common, always the same, less modern stuff.

Yes, I kind of wonder if it's partially a cultural thing. I know I didn't care about shoes or clothes so much when I was younger. Now I own so many!
I love shoes, and I probably have about 30-40 pairs. I will say that I walk kind of strangely though, and I wear out my shoes very quickly. I usually can only wear one pair of cheap shoes for a couple months before they develop holes in them.
I have a ton of blouses. I go through them every couple months and donate the ones I don't wear!

Yes, I have a passion for both shoes and blouses. But I do have limits, my husband might reject the idea. I was very unlucky, when I am fat I could afford to buy shoes or blouses when I see one which I like. But now that I lost weight, I could not afford to buy a new set.

Dear friend,
As a male I never had a blouse but shoes may be less than 50 used in my whole life. Anyhow I feel there would people who find satisfaction in collection of shoes and blouses. May be I never counted my shirts nor dresses. One of my friend is found of sun glasses, he has more than 300 of it. I feel certain people have their own passions and hobbies.

hi there,
i have a few pairs of shoes because i love shoes, though lately i haven't been going out so i don't buy anymore. because i don't get to wear them that much anymore. and yeah lately i have been wanting to buy more clothes because i can really use them. but the shoes, since most of what i have are high heeled shoes, so i can't wear high heeled shoes all the time, i just wear flats.

In India women these days have different types of attire. You will see them in sarees, salwar kameez, skirts and blouses, pant suits, scalves, jackets, jeans or whatever attire a fashion designer would come out with, with footwear to match.
While I was working therefore it was not just shoes or blouses but all what is mentioned above was there in dozens with jewellery, lipstick, nail polish, and shoes to match not forgetting the handbags!

I'm a woman and I simply love my shoes! Even though I have quite a lot and I don't even wear them all, when I see a very good looking pair of shoes, I just buy them without thinking! I don't know why but I have like an obsession with shoes especially shoes made out of canvas like the popular Converse shoes! I'm actually saving up on Mylot to go on Ebay and buy myself another pair. They're pretty expensive, so I'm trying to find a good deal on Ebay! I buy shirts too! I love my graphic tees and I have so many too. I'm still on a hunt to find more to decorate my already full wardrobe! Sometimes I ask myself, what's with women and shopping? That's why guys don't like shopping with us!

I am not that passionate about shoes, but I'm really passionate about blouses. I love buying new blouses. I guess it's also because I have work and we don't have uniform in our office. So i have to buy presentable clothes. I never counted my clothes. I don't how many blouses I have. But for shoes, I think I only have around twenty or so.

I am not a shoe lover myself but I like to window shop for shoes but to buy one, it usually will take ages for me to buy a new one. Sounds weird for most women but that's the truth. I'd rather buy new blouses/tops instead of shoes. You can share this concern on www.lifo.com where girls can share their tips and views on beauty and fashion.
