What’s the problem with facebook?

Recently I came across a complaint by a young girl whose facebook profile has been hacked. She complains that she has changed her password many times but the account was still hacked again and again. What is more surprising is that now she cannot even open her account. She now asks if there is any way to delete her account permanently. This means that she is fed up with facebook. Earlier I also have heard such complaints against facebook. So what is the problem with facebook and why the management of facebook never looks after it when there are so many complaints against it?

That doesn't sound like a Facebook problem: it sounds like a problem with keylogging malware on her computer. FB can't do diddly about that.
FB actually takes security very seriously: they even have that "spot a security hole and win money" scheme running to try to plug all the problems.
In this case, as I say, it sounds like she's not concerned about her own computer's security. That's HER problem, not FB's, but is a pretty typical attitude from younger and less-experienced computer owners: they expect someone else to solve the problem for them.

I have never mentioned that it is a Facebook problem. But it happened to that girl and so she complained about it. The security measures of Facebook as stated by you may be unknown to her. But I have heard of this type of allegations by many a Facebook users and I think they may also be unaware of the precautions to be taken by themselves and so this sort of problems often occur and the blame goes to Facebook.

There is probably a hidden application installed on your computer. I think you should let someone check your computer before you blame facebook. Knowing facebook, they have very tight security system and it cannot be hacked easily.

For your kind information, this is not my problem and I am not blaming facebook or anybody. I have just mentioned an accusation against facebook by a young girl. I have only added a portion by asking to know whether or not facebook is aware of this sort of problems and what precautionary measures are being taken by it as I have heard of such irregularities against it on several occasions.

The first thing that came into my mind was a possible keylogger. Other factors which should be looked at include how and where she access the Internet.
Does she use a Wifi network? A determined hacker with the proper tools can break a network's password in less than six hours. Then it is a simple matter of them reading the data that go through the network.
Does she use a shared or public computer? It is easy to forget to log out.
If she is using a personal computer then she will have to install an appropriate anti malware software.

That girl probably has a virus on her computer and she probably doesn't run checks on her computer to make sure she doesn't have a virus on it.

I believe facebook host so many users and a problem of around ten users is as good as just a small fish in the deepest sea. I will say it is only because it is a problem of one person.

It may be so but we must try to find out the cause because anyone may be affected by it at any moment if facebook itself shows an indifferent attitude to this type of problems. I think facebook would try to clarify the exact cause to that particular girl.

I think her computer was hacked too. It's not so simple that only her account password has been hacked. More then that, her computer may have a troy virus or back door virus. Facebook has already improve personal privacy management. You can use the new setting to check what device has been used to log into this account. If the device is not you have, then you would that your account has been hacked from somewhere you don't known. Most people's account would be hacked because they don't use it often. Hackers would know their password definitely has not been changed for long time. So, after trying so many time, they may enter the account successfully. You friend may need to apply another account on facebook, or, just give up ! If she thinks that changing password is inconvenient to her.

I think the account's owner is mainly responsible for his account especially when it comes to his password. Facebook developers are busy people with lots of tasks at hand. Also there are millions of accounts to take care of worldwide. You've mentioned that the said girl changed her password many times. Maybe that messed things up more. Also I know lots of accounts getting hacked because they share their passwords to others. Like for example in some games, they ask their friends to pilot their accounts so that their game's characters will continue to level up. Some of their so called friends are online friends that they have never met in their entire life and of course you cannot assure that they are trustworthy.

Dear friend,
I tried to create an account but unfortunately there another with same name of my. I wondered who on the earth had such things on me do. That too the content in that account really not so better for those below 18 to watch. I wondered who had put that name of me with such vulgar contents. Anyhow I just left that there, may be there is lot others things. I hope others will not misjudge it as me...

Sunds like this girl has a stalker on her hands. A cyber stalker. Has she contacted Facebook administation about this problem? If she hasn't she should! I have not heard this problem before but I am not surprised! This happens to other people and it just doesn't happen on Facebook! It can happen to anyone!

The problem with Facebook is they need to learn to leave something that is not having problems alone. I am really fed up with all the changes on there myself. I quit doing alot of the stuff I use to do on there because of the changes.

I thinks the problems from emails that girls use to sign in facebook. tell her delete all message in inbox and spam. check her profile information if it got forward to another mail. and scan virus to know surely there is no keylogger.
may she remove Y!M and install another one with update version.
Did she use the secret question? make sure there is no one know it.
Last, change password again.
that is what I know to solve it.
