@shskumbla: Frankly said, I don't really understand what has actually happened to your email. If you can still access your email and don't notice any irregularities I think your email is still safe. It is perhaps a prank for this Halloween! Nevertheless, as per my understanding hackers work by intercepting data signals between the machines. By intercepting the data packets, they would be able to decode the signals and then steal your valuable information. Of course, they do it in higher-level programming languages and not in assembly-based languages.

Hi shkumbla: I have always asked myself this same question on hackers. I think they practice looking for bugs on programs. They also need to jknow about computers to create their own programs or to know how they can find the information from other people. They can also use psycology to get the information fromn other persons or create situations, like sending fake mails to get your passwords, etc. ALVARO

I am really not sure how they get the email. I know there are several ways they can do it though.

Hackers are those who find a way to get into your accounts and get your password without you knowing it or your consent. Especially if you go log on to your email and don't log out properly after checking emails from web accounts, you can get hacked.

i don't completely understand what you are asking, or what you mean.. but i'm assuming you got an email about something to do with being hacked? chances are if you got an email about being hacked.. you weren't hacked lol. if you were hacked, i don't think they'd let you know about it.

One day, a red sentence I saw in my e-mail(G-mail) at the top which said that your e-mail was hacked in Russia. So please change your password. How will this be?
