I have a garden in the back of my house, not a huge one, but quite spacious, and I take care of it myself. I enjoy gardening, always refreshing to see the variety of flower plants blooming. Do you have a garden ? Do you take care of your garden yourself ?

You're welcome to help get mine in shape-All I ever seem to get time to do is cut the grass...!
My Sister's place was our Grandparents' before..The Garden grass I spent summers cutting for them in my teens there is gone..they've extended the house, built a double garage, and tarmacked the rest!

Hello greenline, I do not have a proper garden as I live in a third floor apartment, but I do have a small balcony where I have kept pots and containers. I have about 20 pots in which I have planted mostly flowers, basil, lemon grass, a rose, etc. and green peppers and chillies twice a year! That's all I can keep there, although I surely hope that I could have a bigger garden!

Yes, it is very pleasant to be working around with the plants. Also gets the satisfaction to see the plants growing, isn't it ? Feels happy as the flowers come out !

I sometimes talk to my plants and congratulate them when they flower. I also encourage my son to talk to them and sing them. My husband thinks I am just being silly, but I know that works!

I missed the main point as to whether I work in my own garden!
Yes, I do! and I love it very much! Working in my garden helps me take my mind off of the more pressing matters at least for some time and also helps me think more rationally! So I work on my own and refuse any help, sometimes a couple of my friends do offer to potter about in my tiny garden!

I moved to my bungalow last summer and the garden was like a blank canvas. I had made one line of hardy tropical plants with pebbles around it make it look like a beach. I had have an arbor built next to it and a shed that looks like a summer house. I often mow my grass and tend to my garden plants. I have plenty more to do in my garden and do a little at a time to manage it on a limited budget. Sometimes I get help in my garden and have done that a few times.

Hello Maxi. Sounds like you have quite a huge garden, lots of space, and lots of things to do. I can see that keeps you very busy all the time. Yeah, I know you need help keeping the garden fresh and green. Have a nice time !

I have a small garden but big enough to have a lovely apricot tree in it. Up to 2 years ago, I only planted flowers there and took care of it myself. Then I paid someone to make a couple of raised beds in part of it and started my own veggies. Each year I learn more and this Winter I could even have some Winter veggies there with the aid of a transparent plast so frost would not kill me plant. Fortunatly I live in a place with a mild climate in Winter. Now it´s Spring and I´m starting all all kinds of plants. Today I had my first talk with my basil seedlings, just sprouting.

You have a very beautiful garden, with an apricot tree too. Must look very grand too, I can imagine. With the weather favorable, veggies must be doing quite well too. Yes, you are very fortunate to have a mild climate ! Perfect for gardening !

As I live in the Southern Hemisphere, we are in Spring now. I´ll post a picture of the apricot in bloom. The place nearby is full of garden gear as I was cleaning up for planting. Now there are small green apricots in the tree.

Yes, I have my own garden full of vegetables, 'squash, cucumber and many more'. I also have flower garden. I took care of them by myself. Those gardens seems to be my stress relief activity whenever I am having my gardening every morning. I took to them and also shower them some water for drink. In my vegetables garden, I was able to earn a little and could also cooked some delicious foods from them.

It is also a way for relaxation while working in the garden. That is very good. Good to hear that you can also make some supplemental income.

I have a small one in front of my house. I fill it with many chillies and tomatoes, eggplants, oranges. and yes I take care of it myself well, my papa and mama sometimes help. but my mom isnt interested in veggies that much she only took care of her roses-which I dont know how to deal with- so basically it;s my father and I take care of the garden. it is very refreshing and also exciting when I do my garden. and I literally reach my peak when I see them starting to fruit. it is nice!! and It;s like they are the best I have ever tasted.

So nice to hear the family enjoying the garden, right in front of the house. In fact, gardening is an excellent exercise too, enjoying the refreshing greenaries at the same time.

Grass cutting is also quite a job, isn't it ? That is needed to maintain the garden properly. I have to have my neighbor help me with that once in a while.

I have a small flower garden in front of my house. I tend to the very special rose bush that I have but the rest of them pretty much take care of themselves. I have always wanted a rose bush and I finally have one. I always get excited when I see it blooming.

I can't call what I have a garden, but I do have a few plants that I am proud of. I usually am very bad at keeping plants alive, but this year they all (well most of them) really did well. I have lots of basil and a few other spices, and since my "garden" is indoors, the house smells really good. Hopefully I will be able to get an outdoor garden started next year when we move into a house.

Indoor garden ! I can imagine that would be very pleasant too, sitting with the garden all around. I would love that very much. Wish you will have the outdoor garden soon too.

Mine is not that spacious and I have three trees planted and some potted plants. I do it myself, too and does it in the morning before I do some chores. But sadly last typhoon Pedring that hit our city directly, i have to cut down the two guava trees. I love the trees but I have to let them go for the sake of saving life.

You had a very nice garden. Yeah, sadly enough, you had to cut down the guava trees. I like guava fruits, one of my favorite tropical fruits. The other one is papaya.

Yes I have a small garden for veggie and flowers. I might expand it next year. This year it gave me cucumbers. I was too late getting it started. What is happening is the few peas which got planted, clovers and a variety of wild plant (weed) that I can not identify with a name yet but is eatable were buried 2 to 3 weeks ago and now raising worm families. This is very good. Everything is going to sleep now.

I don't have a garden yet. I've been wanting to start one for our family for the last few years but haven't gotten it done yet. I tend to procrastinate. I guess part of it was my mom used to make us help weed her garden and I hated doing it, so now I'm wondering if I really want the hassle of maintaining a garden. I'm going to do one for sure next year though because vegetables are getting so crazy high in price in the stores. I hope I do well with it.

I wish you will have a garden next year for sure. Growing vegetables would be very good too. One can plant the type of veggies one likes, and enjoy having them without going to the grocery store.
