And she , a Filly, is gorgeous. We have long waited for this foal to be born, in fact it has been due the past two weeks. Most horse give birth at night, so we have been expecting a 2am phone call. but not this Mare. Her owner checked on the Mare at 10.30 am, went back to sleep, and at 3.30pm found a beautiful foal. Mare and Filly are fine. She is 2/3rds Cleveland Bay, 1/3 thoroughbred. Her colour is Bay, with three legs that will turn black and one leg that will turn stay white. She has a big white star on her forehead. Once my daughter has paid for this horse, she will be allowed to have her once she is weened, in about 6 months. I'm at work, so I can't put a photo up yet.

What excitement. This is great, and she can pay on it while it is growing, I guess. Has she paid any on her already? Does she have a name?

She plans ahead, doesn't she? How long is gestation for a horse?

The filly is called Ciarria, a gealic name. She has to wait 30 days to make sure the filly has o rpblmes, then apy a 20% deposit. I am not sure after that how regular the payment sneed to be, but i know it will need to be apid in full by the time it is weaned, which is about 6 months. Bianca already has most of the money saved up.

It is very unusual for a horse to give birth during the day, rather than at night. I know you have seen the photo I have posted and I'm going to post more.

As you know, I have now posted a photo. The owner of the stud has taken over 150 photos I believe. some of the photos and video clips are of her other foals born recently, and they are so funny playing together.

It si like having a newborn baby. People are referring to the filly as my daughters baby!! I love lots of animals, not just horses. We have two cats, one dog and one cockatiel as well.

That is such exciting news! I would love a horse! I bet the foal is adorable; I can’t wait until you upload a photo! If I was your daughter I would be jumping out of my skin waiting for the day I can have my ‘baby’! I had friends years ago who used to own a stud yard and I recall the new born foals were the most beautiful sight. Congratulations!

She was so over the moon last night. Especially as the foal is very healthy. She comes from good breading stock. The breeder has posted over 30 photos of her on facebook, and she is so gorgeous.

Congratulations! It would be a great experience to take care of foal. My daughters had never experience living in a farm atmosphere and they are wishing for it.

We don't live on a farm, but we live only 6 minutes away from where my other daughters other horse is agisted on a farm. When she is able to get this foal, it will be agisted at the same place.

Wow I know every little girl dreams of getting a live pony, but to actually get one? Now that's a dream come true. I am guessing you all live on a farm since your daughter is getting a horse. My Mom & I used to dream of getting a farm someday, that way we could have all the animals we wanted LOL. Sadly that takes a whole lotta money so that farm remains just a dream... (sigh) Okay enough of that. When do we get to see pictures of this little pony? Sounds beautiful. Can't wait to see some pictures.

We don't live on a farm. Her first horse is agisted on a nearby farm in te hills. The foal will go to the same place to be agisted when she is old enough. My daughter has to pay for all this herself. It is not a pony, the breed, Cleveland Bay, ccan grow quite big. I will put up photos tomorrow when I am home. She really is very cute... with long dangly legs and this big star on her forehead.
