Recently I've seen several times that a fashionable dressed lady standing and smoking right next to the subway station exit. Since it's not usually seen for a female smoker here, I was curious to know what kind of sorrow or tribulation she faced. Or maybe it is just me who is the one out of fashion and not that progressive to be accustomed to a female smoker. Well, no offence to female and not gender discrimination. I just consider this from health point of view. How about you? Is there any female smokers around you ? What do you think ?

Whoever smokes smoking is not good for their health. It not only affect their health but also ours who are standing near them. Smoking should not be encouraged by friends and people must understand the value of life that god has given to them. If pregnant woman smokes she not only hurting her, but also damaging the life of the cute little one inside who is thinking that her mother will take care of him/her carefully. Smokers will nev understand the effect of it and they will realize after getting some serious diseases.

that is very true. I oppose smoking.
I never like people who smokes especially those who smoke without considering where they are nor whom are they with.
alright, it is their freedom to harm, weaken, destroy themselves deliberately under their conscious (yes, I emphasize it). but don't people around them have right to live their own life too?

I rarely see fashionable ladies smoking, but female smokers is getting more common in my area as well. Many of my female college classmates are smokers. I would also see a female passersby every now and then smoking while holding a little child with the other hand. Sometimes, I would even see a pregnant women smoking! It's not really about gender discrimination. I don't mind if ladies smoke as long as they don't have a child near them. Likewise, if men wants to smoke, they should refrain from doing so if they are with their children.

oh my God, that is so horrible. to know people smoke without considering where and whom were around is really really irritating. yes I agree it;s not about gender discrimination, but smoking itself something that people shouldn;t do in front of children.
it would encourage them to try it without they even think that it is harmful for them since they see examples in front of their eyes.

i never see fashionable dressed lady smoke but i really have a girl friend who is a smoker since we got to the university. smoking is a bad habit for all of us, no matter which gender you are. i think some of them smoking just for fun and realize it's a cool thing, but it's their choice, we have to respect it. for me i will never smoke because i love myself so much.

I have some female friends who smoke. well, for me, regardless that person is female or male, I dont think it;s good. smoking is useless. LOL
it only degrades health, and wealth. you literally burn your money when you smoke.
and it;s not good for your environment also.

true wealth cannot replace health. sometimes people dont realize it. or well, they know that health is the most expensive thing people can get. it;s priceless.
but some just ignore it and deliberately degrading their health level by smoking.

I do have a few female friends who do smoke. I have to say there aren't many, but one or two of them do. I don't really mind terribly, as they do try not to blow the smoke in my face, or anything like that, which is really nice of them.

I have seen many females smoking.
As I worked with call center, during break time some girls are smoking.
They say to relax from this stressful job and also to take their sleepiness.
I am not sure what is the main reason..but yes, there are few girls who really smoke.
Have a good day

There were plenty of female smokers around me and actually I get some female friends who also smoke on occasion. Not that they are in suffering or any sort, it was just they have pressure and stress from daily life. It seems smoke might relieve them a little. I am not a smoker myself, but I respect their perspective though.

There isn't anyone who smokes in my family nor my friends. Sometimes I saw some female smoking in a foodcourt, it disgust me. I wonder what is so cool about smoking? It is not attractive, it is not healthy, it kills you. So why not stop smoking? Or maybe the power of nicotine which cause you to be addicted to smoking is too strong.

yes, i knew of some women who smokes.
i don't think they are cool when they do that.
maybe they do that because they feel they are cool or they belong to some higher class in the society.
whatever there reasons may be.
still they are putting their lives at risk.
not only their lives but also the other members of the family who could be affected by inhaling the emitted smoke.

Yes,I have lots of female friends who smoke..I,myself does not smoke but I respect them as they have the right to do what they want to..I sometimes tell them that it is not good for the body especially to those secondhand smokers,as they are the ones who are affected more by it, but I can't force them to stop because they have told me that it's not easy to quit smoking..%-)

hi benwang yes here in the US there is no gender bias about smoking as there are as many female as male people who must put their lives in danger in order to have another smoke.I feel that smoking is very danger to your health and if you smoke quit it for your heart and lungs sakes.yes there are lots of female smokers right here in Gold Crest and a lot of them have chronic COPD disease and cough almost continually.Sadly nobody complains here if women smoke as most of the people in the US do smoke. I do not as I value my health too much to risk it. I think smokere is dangerous to your health.

There are so many female smokers around here, though the government warns smokers that "Smoking Kills" or "Smoking is Dangerous to your Health", you can smoke at your own risks provided there is no "NO SMOKING" banner beside you. Hahaha!!! It is a vice that's hard to quit.

What man can do woman can do...Right?
Well, for me female smoker is okay, because for most of them it helps them relax or at ease.
My sister use to smoking and it's okay for us, anyways no one gets hurt with her smoke.
