Are you fond of buying Pirated DVDs?

No, I'm not fond of buying pirated DVDs because it has low quality. I just download the movies online. You can choose online if you want Blu-ray version or DVD rip. I just download it via torrent. I know it's illegal to buy pirated DVDs or download online, but it's not that strict in my country.

Hi there, Yes, back three months, I used to buy pirated DVDs as they are cheap and we can watch five or six movies from one DVD. My favorite moves are from Hollywood, so I had purchased many of Hollywood movies like Beautiful Mind, Inception, Curious Case of Benjamin Buttoon, Forrest Gump, etc. Then for two-three months, I was downloading movies from Pirate Bay using U-Torrent. I used check for the reviews and remarks, seeders and leechers, the green Skull sign and everything to make sure that I will download a good movie with good print and no virus. It went good, I saw many good movies through Pirate Bay and was happy that now I am enjoying movies for free and have not to pay for DVDs, but ultimately my system was attacked by virus and one day I was unable to work on it. The guy who came to format the system told me that U-Torrent has done this as virus comes while we download from it. So now again, I have no other choice then to purchase DVDs from market, preferably pirated as they are much cheaper.

The market these days is awash with pirated items and sometimes it is difficult to distinguish which one is real or not. We just have to be careful when buying things as we might end up buying a fake thing.

First,I'm glad to hear that your mother likes Jet Lee and Jackie Chan who are chinese stars.I think they are just models of many chinese young actors.I like them very much. As I know,most chinese younsters are watching moives via computer,few of them watches DVD now.As for me,I never bought even one DVD...I aways watch movies from some websites,or I just go to cinema.

ahh.i rather download illegally than buy fake dvds.. because if i want it cheaper..why spend a dime..when i can get it free.. but anyway..i usually buy Blurays nowadays..

Hi enelym! I used to buy a lot of bootleg DVDs especially DVDs of Hollywood movies. But sometimes I buy DVDs of Asian movies, too and I agree, sometimes the subtitles can give you a headache and a nosebleed. I used to buy DVDs of Japanese and Korean movies and dramas but ever since I bought one drama with the baddest subtitles, I became wary of those DVDs. And after a while, I stopped buying pirated DVDs. However, it's my mother who is now buying a lot of Korean DVDs and watching them even if the subtitles are useless English. It's actually annoying you know, seeing her watch Korean dramas all day and all night. I can't even watch news on tv anymore.

I am a fan of Jet Li and Jackie Chan. But with respect to pirated DVD's I barely buy those movies starred by them since your observations are right, they usually spoke in Chinese language and obviously I cannot understand. I do however bought some original VCD's starred by both actors and the great thing is the language is in English so no problem in comprehension. I still have them with me, sometimes I do a movie marathon when I am completely free.

Not really, I watched Cars 2 and it was from some foreign country and all of the endorsements were digitally overrun with the countries endorsements, so I wasn't sure what they were selling, or saying. Also, pirated DVD's are not set up like a standard DVD with chapters, close caption and other perks. I'll buy the manufactured DVD for the cost of having all those standard features.

Hello enelym, My husband is the one who is fond of buying pirated DVD. I know its bad but its cheaper than going to the movies. Yes, its cheaper to watch and download on the internet but we have never tried it. I have to remind my husband to try it sometimes but for sure he will ask me where to download and I don’t know what to answer. Sometimes, we can get a really good copy sometimes not.

Every one who is fond of watching movies like to buy pirated DVD. The reason behind is that first original DVD will be avialable after two or 3 months. It is too much expensive to watch movies in theater. So people like to buy pirated DVD. Although quality of these DVD are not good one.

I don't buy pirated DVDs, I just borrow from my local library since they end up getting what I want to watch anyway.

The movie industry is greatly suffering already. I can really understand them as decades back when there was still no internet, and nowhere to download movies, the industry was really a great one. Today, most of the viewers download movies and buy pirated dvd's instead. This means that the earnings of the movie industry has declined so much, and there are so many families affected, in exchange for just a small amount of money that we actually can spend for buying dvd's that are original. This is why I do not buy pirated dvd'd, as these pirated dvd's are mostly downloaded and reproduced.

i sooo love watching movies... :D :D :D :D i have many pirated DVD's at home..hahahahah i love collecting my favorite movies, namely Harry Potter series, Supernatural 1~6, Pirates 1 ~4, Narnia 1~3, and now, Smallville 1~10, and many more to come.. hihihiihh For me, having the hard copy is more interesting, because whenever i feel like watching the movies again, i just watch it right away, unlike downloading on the internet, it could take a lot of time. and i enjoy looking at my collection of DVDs. hahaha buying an original is also very expensive. hihhihi :D

Honestly yes hahaha every since i had kids, 3 kids.. me and hubby never really get to go to cinemas, not because we do not have time but mainly because tickets are that expensive now, 100 pesos and above! that quite a lot for me and it is luxury now which i cannot afford..so what i often do is just buy those pirated DVDs that costs only 30 to 50 pesos and it is already watchable.. but sometimes i also do download but since i get impatient, i just go and look for its dvd copy.

You should just tell her to go online and watch the movies. I have one website that I use that has new release movies on it! Plus many other movies and tons of tv shows on it. It is dangerous to buy pirated dvds because it is against the law to even sell them! If you want the website that I am talking about, send me a message and I will tell you. Maybe you already use it, I don't know.

hai friend.. I would definitely wont encourage the pirated DVD's as we will not have sound clarity or visual clarity.In any pirated DVD some thing will be missing, I love watching movies a lot.. Most of the time i will download movies from Net even though it takes time it is worthful than pirated DVD,s...

yes it is much better if you downloaded a movie...when the downloading is done and and the movie is good...you'll feel that all of your efforts are worthy...you'll feel that you are satisfied with the movie that you have downloaded....most of the pirated dvd are dim and they are just waste of money..

You cannot blame your mom from buying those pirated DVDs. Because nowadays, we should be practical. Well I won't be wasting my money to buy original DVD just to watch a movie or view my favorite concerts. Maybe if the industry will lower the price, maybe I will for it. And more thing, why don't you download a movie for your mom?

I'd rather watch online or download it. There are sites that offers live streaming and free download too. I rarely watch now in tv. I try to watch it in youtube now.
