.... but I could not think of even one good discussion for the day.
So, what to do, should I let go the day withou starting one? Will myLotter feelbad about it? let us see.
3 years ago, one of the user told me that he eagerly waits for my discussion and for him I used to think of atleast one for a day.
So, now do you start adiscussion for you or for your friends?
Interesting, isn't it?

Maybe I'm just selfish; but I ONLY start discussions for myself!!! I cannot just start a discussion if I don't have something to say!!! If I try & force a discussion, what I write is extremely boring!!! So, I wait until I feel something in my heart & then I can write with passion!!! I'm NOT saying it is wrong to do it any other way; I'm just saying that is what is BEST for me!!!

OOPS...I'm sorry..I must not have communicated clearly!!! I wasn't saying that I only start discussions. Believe me, I respond to plenty of discussions!!! I'm not afraid to start a discussion. However, when I do it is usually on a subject that I feel passionate about. I seldom start a discussion for somebody else. I take my discussions seriously & usually only start them when I know I have the time to comment back to every response. I don't feel it is a discussion unless 2 or more people are interacting over the topic. So, I do my best to not just start a discussion on something I feel is silly & a waste of others' time. I'm sure I've started some discussions that others felt were silly & wondered what I was thinking; but those are usually something important in my mind & I'm willing to discuss why they dislike the discussion!!!

Sorry, I couldn't get your point!
Even I also like when people disagree with my point. I like people to point out what I am missing in it.
Starting discussion for yourself? I think everybody does this. In my discussion, I will be the one who will be having most number of comments, right?

I don't start very many discussions but when I do it is really done for me. Usually something I want to discuss about and always when I know I have the time to spend on the discussion. I have not to date started one and or had anyone ask me to start one. Yes it is interesting and nice on how you were inspired to do so for friends.

I think it is interesting for members to start discussions for their friends and also pretty cool if members who are not considered friends who expects a discussion from certain members, it is cool to know they have fans. It shows that they are pretty good writers and write clearly when they write a discussion. I wish I had fans haha but then, I would have to be here and think of what to write about. I cannot do that here because of the time I can't have.

No, actually it is very sad. I start discussions that I think will be interesting and then I am anxious to see fellow Mylotters responses. I don't write the discussion with anyone in particular in mind. I feel sorry for this poor person that you say he eagerly awaits your discussion. I hope he was just being polite.

Yes, it can be. I always try to have a piece of paper nearby so I can write down my ideas.

My discussions do not go for most viewed, or popular or any other win for the day.
But what I do discuss, I enjoy on the topic myself and hope to give anyone that reads my discussions some genuine information whether it be the weather or something of history.
Like Amphyre said I am yappy as well and enjoy sharing a bit of knowledge I know with anyone.

"Yappy" is an American slang word meaning someone who talks a LOT!!!
I also don't understand the "78¢ to share" & can only assume that it also a slang phrase much like "putting in my 2 cents worth".

I haven’t started a discussion in a very long time because I have enjoyed responding to the 1800 notifications in my in box (do you think I will ever catch up? Lol!) I would only start a post if I was in the mood and felt I had something of value to say or a question I felt I needed an answer or opinion for.

It is hard for me to come up with a topic for discussion. It all depends on what I have been thinking of or how I have been feeling to see what I come up for a topic. Most of the time I just reply to others discussions.

Discussions should be started for everyone ,which are related to interests of oneself and can be interests of other mylotters. If the topic is good then it can be discussed by many.

You know you should at least take a break. If you cannot come out with a good discussion then you are free to share your ideas by responding others here in mylot. If you post something that it is not your interest with then the results might lead you not to comment back. I usually post what are really my queries and hoping that mylotters could help me to solve it!

hi s anuanu I do not try to write one every day as I want time to comment back to all the many responses I have got. so I respond to others and comment to others and keep up too with my own discussions. them when I think of something I really really
want to write about I will do so. but not o ne a day or every other day. maybe one in a week or ten days. I want my discussions to b e
quality so I cannot hurry on them so do not dash then off like some mylotters do here.
