Good counselor to others but not to her own family.

I heard a lot of comments from my friends that many who usually give advice to other people are not good counselors to his own family. I even known one and I really pitied her instead of criticizing her. She is very good in giving advice to all kinds of people but her family is broken. Her husband works abroad and her 17 year old kid impregnated a girl. Her youngest daughter was so rebellious and go home very late at night. She wanted to fix everything but her children just don't mind her. What are your comments?
