There was an incident in the country I'm in right now where a two-year old kid was ran over by a car, my partner read in the news. Six people passed by and did nothing, while the child was lying blooded and dying. There was only a 50-year old garbage picker who went and did something about it. The child died. I know I've seen something likened to this one a few weeks ago. It was when a man was beaten by several people in the streets of New York and people didn't do anything about it nor noticed that he needed help. However, it's different this time because it's a kid for crying out loud! A toddler got ran over and people don't notice?? Is there something wrong with the people of this country? I know something would have been done immediately if it happened in my country. What do you think? Is there a correlation between first-world people and their insensitivity to people in need? Tsk. Tsk.

I saw that on the news a day or so after it happened! What I don't understand is why the parent's didn't realize that she was missing? WHY was a 2 year old left alone to wander into the streets in the first place? How could those drivers not have seen her, well a child is small and it only takes a split second for a child to dart in front of a car. But I watched the video of the accident and she was laying in that street far too long for her parents not to have noticed that she was not with them. They should have gone looking for her. I blame them!

Well.. That's irresponsible parenthood. As for your question about the trucks not being able to see her. There came an incident one day that a kid was nearly rundown by a car. Simply because she was too small (in height) to be seen by the trucker (blind spots in front of the car and the rear). True. I blame the parents too! Have a great Holidays!
