Hello there friends!! Nursing here in the Philippines has become overly populated that after board exam results they couldn't find a hospital that would cater for their training and experience.. Because of over population a lot of nursing graduates can't work in hospitals.. so they choose to be a call center agent or look for a job that would hire a four year course graduate.. so sad.. but it's true.. others do volunteer work just to gain experience..

Hi! I am a board passer of nursing and true enough it has been really tough in this career nowadays.Hospitals have stop their nursing training programs because of the DOH mandate and the question is where will the nurses go to pursue their career? So for nurses let us be productive in any way we can even if it is not in our line of career. Better to have a job than not have any and wait for an opportunity that is too far from us.God bless and help us.

I think its about time for graduates not to give in the pressure of being supported to study as long as they take up Nursing. That is quite true, Nursing which promised a career that can take you abroad is now leaving our new graduates without a place to work unless they would be willing to work for a low salary. Nurses here are not given the right wages and benefits hence they resort to working like other people in call centers. It is good that call center jobs are a good way to practice conversing in English and pays one a good salary with the benefits that you don't usually get from other jobs.

Because Filipinos go with the trend...during my days, the trend course is business administration major in accounting, result is overflowing of graduates from this course....then came computer science and other related course, so graduates overflowed again....then culinary arts and HRM....then now nursing.....there is no government agency that do research and give advice to the students what course would be in demand for the next 5 years or so....filipinos are blindly following the trend...
