Is it possible for you? Work without mouse only with keyboard shortcut

Before ,i rarely used mouse when navigating my computer..i only use the keyboard... But it's a bit hard cause i have a hard time remembering all the shortcuts,its taking a while to work on a sheet...now im home,my daughter always take advantage of my pc,she use it alot, she put the mouse on ,and since i have no time pulling the plug off :-),thats how lazy i am with gadgets,i am force to use it...and im getting use to it...

For me its not possible to work without mouse...I will try a lot to complete my work without using using mouse but i can't..I know only some commands on keypad..its very difficult to do work without mouse...

An Internet surfer really need mouse to use, because the websites are different to set short keys, then we have to use a mouse. In the case of a programmer or web designer, they don't have to use mouse, because an OS have permanent short keys to follow.

when I had my first lessons of computer, there was also no mouses in the computer room, and the system that moment was DOS. But now I could remember nothing about it. Always there are new things that bring convenieces to our life, and the skills what your daughter has is also needed under emergency case.

I can work without a mouse with ease. In fact, I can take it a step further and use the keyboard as the mouse on any windows computer. In case you didn't know, they actually have a keyboard short cut that activates a computer setting that allows you to use the numberpad keys to control the mouse on screen! But even without using that I can easily work on the computer with just a keyboard.

I am used to using a mouse but several weeks ago, my mouse was broken and I was too busy to get a new one. So I had to use keyboard shortcut. At first I found it quite difficult but after several days it got easier. Now I can go without a mouse!

HI Fanta! Whatever your daughter is suggesting is right. Using key board short-cuts really helps you to work faster. I frequently use key board short cuts and this way I could finish my response/comments quickly. If I know key board short cut for a particular function, then I do not use Mouse for that purpose.

Dear friend, I can work with keyboard only, but only thing is that I may get bit slower. It is known that there was no mouse before. But useing mouse is really useful and whenever I do have option for that I fully utilise it. There were rare times I used keyboard when my mouse got damaged.

hi fanta my son robbie is the same way and is al ways showing me so swift I lose track all the shortcuts you dont need mouse mom uh huh son oh yes your mom does need t he mouse.so I let him go on and on showing me all the shortcuts but when he is not here my mouse gets used a lot and I mean a lot as the shortcuts I do not remember and do not really want too Fanta ye old mouse is just fine for me so no I do not do work without my lovely old mouse. lol

i cannot. i have always been dependent on the mouse. i dont think i will be able to do anything without one. thats why when i am asked whether i like a table pc or laptop, i prefer the table pc. although laptops can still use mouse, i will feel at a loss with the new generation of today who do not use them anymore. have a nice day. ann

Your daughter is amazing, I just couldn't imagine myself work without a mouse nowadays. I couldn't remember every single keyboard shortcuts of course. I might need to take sometime to practice such skill myself. For now, I still rely on mouse.

Unfortunately I can't get use to work without mouse. Without this small device I feel like DJ on keyboard so in my case this is not nice at all. My partner press me to change my habits but I don't think so I would change it. If they had stopped making it I would have to force myself and stop using it. But for a while I enjoy working with mouse.

Hi fantabulus, Kids nowadays are becoming more computer literate than adults. They use computers well and even take time to teach home adults how to use it. Access to computers in school and at home trains them to use computers well. Good for your daughter, she can work fast with shortcuts on her computer. For me, i always use the mouse when i use my laptop. I'm more comfortable with it.

Yes that's really possible to work without mouse. Sometimes when I get lazy I just my keyboard to navigate my windows. Things get simpler and faster sometimes.

I am exactly like you, I know that all the commands are available on the keyboard, but personally I don't know them, even though I sometimes don't use a mouse when I use a laptop, I normally have a mouse connect to the laptop (bluetooth) so if I need access to it, in an emergency or crisis I have readily availabe. But no there are so many commands that I am not familiarized with so personally I love my mouse.

I can sometimes get away without using the mouse for a little while but I normally cant get away with it for long because I do not know enough of these short cuts to replace the mouse

Yes it is possible to work only with keyboards , you can even make a virtual mouse on your keyboard from Control Panel if you need that,you can use shortcuts but it doesn`t work for 100% of what you need on internet and it`s not faster than using a mouse.

it's possible to work without mouse. if we can memorize the keyboard shorcuts of course we can work such as writing an article without keyboard. The keyboard shorcuts are usually listed on the submenubar for the certain commands.

It all comes from practice. Even i like to use keyboard shortcuts rather than mouse

Hey it's good to use keyboard short cuts. And more over mouse will cause you problems there is a chances of getting severe pain and there are some incidents which became so serious. it's better we practice keyboard short cuts and use it.
