How would you spend your time with your family during weekend? My favorite place to stay is in the house, why?...because there is no other place like being at home, right guys? We spend most of the day like watching movies, sing along with some friends and a couple of drinks at nights sometimes while having a bar-b-que to eat with. That's how I spend time with my family.

My preferable method of hanging out with my family is through traveling, but my mom doesn't want to spend money, and she rather stay home too. What can I say? I like to hang out with my family at some nice restaurant and enjoy some good food. Or maybe sightseeing some nice places.

Hi john,
Recently we are busy with some thing or other on every weekend so I felt we are not going out for enjoyment to a special place. You may be right; the home is the best place to spend with family and no hassles of going out etc.

Oh that does sound like Heaven to me too. We do not go out very much at all. But unfortunately we always have so much work to do that even though we are all home we aren't able to spend the time together. Hubby is usually working in the garage, daughter doing homework, and I'm cleaning. I'm hoping when winter comes that we can relax together as a family and watch movies and maybe play some board games.

We have the same hang-out on week-ends. More often my kids and I stay the whole day of Saturday at home, helping each other in cleaning the house, arrange things we mess and disarrange the entire week days when we have office and school to attend to. The whole day of Saturday is really very busy for us, yet we manage to take it as a bonding time still.
Every Sundays, we spend almost half of the day with church activities. Going to Mass, attend choir practices. You know, me and my kids are church choir members. The latter part of this days are spend in finishing what we have left undone on Saturday; preparing things we might need for the week days ahead.
These may sound routinary for us, but it didn't really. I guess there's magic in doing things together as a family. It's the quality of bonding time that counts.

I definitely have to agree, there is no place like home, I love spending time at home with my family. But my children love to also go out so on the weekends I try to make special activities with them, such as going to the park, the zoo, dandy bear etc. There at an age that they like to be active and do activities and sometimes the house doesn't cut it.

Sometimes we need to feel human and we need also relax to keep ourself free from stress in the workplace during weekdays. Hanging out with our family outside like going to park may also be a good idea. Keeping them active like playing outdoor game and other kind of sports games. We make sure that everybody enjoyed much on the activity the whole day and ready to face new challenges on working days.

With my family, I like to go out of town to where I would be nearest to nature. The malls are usually the most common places everyone goes to, and it is becoming so artificial and tiring. I like my family to appreciate the gush of the wind instead of the aircon. I like them to smell the sea instead of the air fresheners. I like them to see the waterfalls instead of the fountains. Most of all, I like them to witness the awesome creations of God, and not the artificial designs of the architects and designers.

Hi john_g22,
Yes, there is no place like home. For us, sometimes we spend our weekend at the mall. We eat out in our favorite burger or pizza store. We have fun being together.

I like spending time with my family too. Right now though, I only have my mom living in the same city as me and we share a house together so we spend lots of time together. We love to play cards a lot together so we do that a lot while sitting and having a few drinks or sometimes just a cup of tea.
I am going home for christmas, 1400 km drive, with my mom. We will then be with the whole family. I have my brother and sister-in-law and niece who just turned 2 years old a couple weeks ago. As well as I have the rest of my extended family, my grandma and auntys and uncles and cousins. It will be a great time. I will be there for 3 days and I will also find some time to see some of my friends too. And my dad of course. A lot to pack into 3 days, I know, but fun..fun...fun....

It is nice to spend time with the family at home. My grandson likes to get on my computer and we talk about that and he fiddles online. We often go to the park and let my grandson play. We do watch movies. Last time we went out to the movies we went to see Thor. It was very entertaining.

My favorite place to spend with my family is at my aunt's house on Christmas Eve. My dad's family always throws a get together on Christmas Eve, and I have so many memories associated with that holiday. I'm always super excited for it when the Christmas season rolls along. When it comes to my mom's side of the family, my favorite place to be with them is probably up North where we spend all our time together. I like spending time with my mom going out to eat and such, but for the family as a whole, I like to be up North.

I would think that people like to go out and hang with their friends on the weekends. It's what I like to do on the weekends. Like last night, I went out with two of my girlfriends and we went to the bar and danced all night.
But when I want to hang out with my mom, the rest of my family lives in another city, we will go do something together, like go eat supper and see a movie, or go bowling or shoot a few games of pool. I am 28 years old and my mom and I share a suite together in a house and we work together too. We are self employed and clean houses so we are always together.
So on the weekends I want to get away from her. I love her and all, but I need some time to myself and with my friends. I do occassionally hang out with my mom instead though. We also like to just go for a ride to the mountains or go fishing together. None of my friends like to fish and since that is the way my mom brought me up she still likes to go fishing with me and I love it too.

We like going out to places. I hate staying in just watching tv and talking when we can be out having fun some where else that doesn't cost to much money. Like going to the park, or the mall to just walk around and talk and see things. We love going to go see animals because my daughter is so young its interesting to her.
