cheating via facebook

once more my friend, has been cheating, at facebook.
she saw a facebook page, about company that selling handphone, and she interest to buy one handphone. the company contact her and said if she interest became a seller, she will get a big money. of course, she want.
but have one week, he not get the product, including handphone that she has buy. she contact the company but they said, they need $200 to create some accounting.
wth?

just see on facebook page, cityphonehandphone. they get license on their info, but my friend get cheat by them. they not scam, only the way they do customer.

After I see their page I think this company not scam but I see they use tricky business.
From what I see in your friend case, seem like they try to ask such guarantee from your friend (since she want to be a seller). If they didn't have agreement with your friend about it, these kind of act can categorized as crime. Why? Since your friend already sent money to buy product, these money can't categorized as guarantee of reseller but must categorized as consumer buy and they can't hold any product they sell because your friend are not they reseller yet.
Your friend can sue them ... but I think that costly.
Is that explain your friend situation?

There are a lot of swindler and scammer in ther internet, and that including facebook. I think you should tell your friend to report it to the police. They will then help your friend catch the bad guy. I hope it all could turn out well and your friend could get her money back ( or at least get the phone she want to buy )

But isn't she buy something from the company and still not get the item that she bought. Even if the company legal, you can still sue it. Well anyway, i just hope it resolve soon.

you right. i have tell her that she must report this case to consumer organizations in our country. it hard to report it to police, cause many police in my country is corrupt.

There are loads of sites that are scams and i am sorry to say that there are people out there that are victims that have parted with their cash, thinking that they can make ten times the amount, to what they have parted with.If it sounds to good to be true, then it usually is a scam.

You know what boo I have seen it all here on the net. It would sound so good and because they make it sound so good it is hard to waver out the bad. you friend was smart good job for not getting scammed I was several of times. Thank God we are here to share our thoughts................

That definitely sounds like a scam to me. They always say, if you have to pay upfront it's probably a scam. Never pay for anything. My inlaws almost got cheated when they were trying to sell their car. The person sent them a check for more than the amount and they were supposed to cash the check and use the money to send the car. Luckily their bank caught it before it wiped out their account. You have to be really careful what you sign up for, there are scams everywhere.

i don't know really, it is scam or not. but i think, that is the company strategy to get big money. they just cheating people to get big money, but they not scam.

I'd be very wary of any business offering a "Job" and asking for money up front for "setup costs" or anything like that..sounds like a scam to Me..Look up the company online for addresses,complaints,comments and such...

This is just so sad. These kind of people are the one ruining the reputations of online sellers like me. They scam people for their money. There are many cases like this happening everyday that's why some people are not comfortable buying stuff online and online sellers suffers the consequences. I hope nobody will get scammed again and nobody will scam people again. Instead we should work hard to get the money we want.

well, the company isnot scam, but they trick, to cheat consumen. that why my friend so angry, but she can't do anything cause the company is legit.

It looks like your friend is victim of a scam. As a handphone is not a virtual thing, she can start a dispute and will win if she bought it with PayPal or AlertPay. I see more and more scammers operating from Facebook now, even inside Facebook with their own applications, and I think she has also to contact FB to complain : they will probably close the FB page of these scammers.

First, she shouldn't of sent money to become a sales representative. Anything that makes you pay first to turn around and make money is a scam! I don't care what it is, or how legit they seem to be! ANY and I mean any company that makes you pay for equipment or to be an employee is BULL!!! Sorry she is out a couple hundred dollars, but atleast she has learned a valuable lesson I hope lol

wel ceecee, she don't knowcause the company is legal, she only wanna buy blackberry from the company. but they cheat her, ask if she wanna be their agent to sell phone. she want but she must send them $200, she not send the money, except for the phone does she buy. and the company won't send her phone.

Please make me clear about the current situation, did she already send some money to them?
If she already sent the money, now it's the right time to report it to police! And don't sent money to them anymore. I believe they are just committing fraud, and try to get her money as much as possible.
By the way, I was a bit surprise that your friend was still being trapped by those swindlers. Recently, there are already some news about fraud activity about selling electronics via Facebook, I wonder why didn't she be more careful?

she already send money to them, $150, but that just for buy handphone, not for became sales agent. now she tried to finished this problem with law.
