I believe news has been streaming in from various networks and stations around the world starting with the capture of the former Libya dictator to the death. Since 0800 (local time) this morning, reports had been streaming in as combined forces from NATO and Libyan Rebel forces made a concerted attack on Ghaddafi's hometown and what is believed his last stronghold - Sirte. Reports had been confusing starting with news that he was being shot in the legs, captured and even executed on the spot during his capture as NATO executed an airstrike on his convoy in Sirte during what was believed was a tactical movement of the former dictator and tyrant. Finally, the news that all Libyans and the rest of the world had been waiting for as the Prime Minister of Libya Mahmoud Jibril confirmed that the former dictator was dead. A sad end as the former tyrant was found wounded and captured in a large storm-water drain. (Yet, to be confirmed) Then, gory details started streaming over the media via video feeds and digital pictures captured from what was believed to be from cellular phones of the fatally wounded Muammar Ghaddafi and the celebrations. What an ending for such a colorful character in world politics and I just hope that Libya will finally be liberated. Long live democracy?
