Suicide?

Is attempted suicide legal or illegal in your country or state? I had a very heated conversation at work about this topic. if you try to commit suicide but fail, should you go to jail? what if it was with a gun and you fail, would you go to jail? I would like to know what you think should you or should you not be punished for your action.

Interesting. It would just clog up the system with people who should not be there and those that think they should not be there.

I don't think they should be put in jail, they should be given help so we can find out why they tried in the first place. If we just put them in jail they wont have the chance to get better.
