Nowadays,I have posted some articles to my mylot to comment! The articles were copied by me from some books!I like these articles very much so I would like to share them with mylot friends and comment about them.
The question I want to ask is my behavior is right or wrong!I don't know whether I can continue to copy some good articles to my mylot to comment or not!Is there anyone able to help me?
Thank you for reading and have a good day!

You are being obtuse, JulyKing.
Did you originally write the articles - NO
Did someone else write the articles for the CET6 test paper - YES
Did you ask permission to copy - NO
If you copy and publish under your own name, that is illegal and plagiarism!!!
The End.

You are welcome July.
In that case that is the best because if you would do it you wouldn't like somebody appropiate of your article because it is your work.
But don't worry bcause like you say if you didn't have the chance to know the name of the authors you ae not guilty, but like you said don't do it again.

Read the copyright notice printed in the book that you copied from. Unless it specifically states that material in the book MAY be reproduced freely and without permission, you are infringing copyright.

benwang,nice to see you again!
Maybe you are right!I won't do that from now on!
I copied them because the sentences in the articles were very beautiful that I couldn't write out!So I would like to share them with others by completely copying!I have read the articles from CET6 test and I don't think what I did infringed on someone's copyright!

There is a difference between copying something as a quotation to illustrate something you want to discuss and simply posting something published elsewhere as it stands and with no attribution or other comment by you.
If you don't give the source of the passage and don't make it clear that it's a quotation to illustrate a point, you are infringing copyright. In this case, the articles are the copyright or the property of the publisher who publishes the tests. Look at the from of the book - usually on the back of the title page - you should see a clear notice saying that nothing in the book should be reproduced without permission. In any case, even without that notice, unless it says specifically that material MAY be reproduced, you are infringing copyright.
As far as MyLot is concerned, the Guidelines clearly say: "DON'T ... Post copyrighted articles." and that applies as much to material copied from books as to online material.
In my experience, Admin does sometimes allow shortish passages to be reproduced as long as they are clearly illustrations of an original topic. Anything which is clearly copied from somewhere else without any original comment or attribution is plagiarism.

You can share other's article only if you have authority to do so and provided you mention their names . You may review or rewrite them as well if they are interesting and worthsharing . Wish you all the best :-)

Well, you might be on a very thin line with posting articles. If the articles are from copyrighted books, you might be violating one of the "Don'ts" in the discussion guidelines. They ask that we not post copyrighted articles, we should link to them. According to the "Do's" you can send a private message to the MyLot staff if you are not sure.

No,the articles are just copied from CET6 test by me!I have read the "Do's and Don'ts" when I signed in mylot! But I don't know why I can't copy those articles I like very much,I don't think I infringed on their copyright neither!Because I just want to share them with others!Am I wrong?

Why not rewrite it in your own words and explain your views about it and give credit on the original author. Sometimes a copy from an article just to make a post discussion here tend to be so boring for me.
And assuming that you just copy it makes sure that you really knows it so that you can interact and response too. Happy myotting!

Thank you for your advice!airkulet!
I pledge I really knew the articles which were copied by me in mylot!I have said I really liked those articles,of course!I knew them!
In your opinion!May I copy any articles if I really know them?
From now on,I will rewrite the articles which I like very much in my own words!
Have a good day!Thank you very much!
