What do you do when you are having an anxiety attack?... Lately, I've noticed that I am frequently having these anxiety attacks and I do not know to handle it because I do not know what triggers such attacks. It is really hard for me to figure it out especially when I am in the middle of my working shift and then my heart just suddenly beats so fast and loud alongside with this gut feeling that something's not right yet I do not know what. I'm really bothered when this happens. Do you experience having "anxiety attacks"? how do you handle it?

I guess all you have to do is relax and breathe. There might be something that's bothering you that your subsconscious is not letting your conscious mind know. You have to let it flow and just relax so that your mind would cooperate smoothly with you.

I seldom get anxiety attack. I may have a frantic day, which i can call an anxiety attack . Though, when i feel that, i simply stop for a few minutes, drink a glass of water and then pray. That pacifies me and assures me , i can do it.

You are right about that.... Prayer is really a very powerful tool to combat life's challenges.

The first thing that i do when i wake up in the morning , is sit upright in our bed while husband is still sleeping and say my prayer. I feel happy and ready after that.

I have anxiety attacks, and it doesn't seem as though there is any reason at all for me to have them when I do. I tend to worry a little bit because they make me feel rubbish and I just wonder what will happen to me if I have one at a time where I can't escape from a situation if I am away from home and away from my family. I find that doing regular exercise helps an awful lot, as it gets your body into the best physical state that it can be and allows you to use up any excess energy that you might find that you have.

I hope you're just feeling a normal mind and body response, not clinical anxiety. May be you're getting more stressed these days. The anxious response will go away when you're in a better mood.

I do hope you are right for I have this unkindly characteristic of being too hard upon myself...

maybe you can deduce why you have these attacks if you think back on them. -When do they occur? Ex. In the morning, after lunch, in the evening, etc.. -Where do they occur? Ex. At home, at work, in the store, lots of places, etc.. -What are you doing when they occur? Ex. Reading, Talking, Doing your job, etc.. If you find a connection between them like they all occur at work maybe something about your work is stressful and you should look for other employment or you can talk to someone you trust at your work about how to better handle the situation. A doctor can also be very helpful in prescribing medication and perhaps finding the triggers to your anxiety. However, you know yourself and your condition best so follow your instinct and consult the people you trust and who also know you well for more advice.

It is probably because my greatest fear is being unable to cope with life circumstances... when I am in a new environment I start to doubt myself whether what I am doing is right... What I am doing right now is that I constantly remind myself that we all are given circumstances that we can face and that there is always a way out....

Is it really anxiety you are feeling or you are just having palpitations?? Well, I'm just wondering about what you are experiencing. I think it's best to contact for a medical practitioner. They will help you diagnose with that. Anxiety, as we all know is the fear of the unknown. Hmm.. your Doctor maybe could help you ease with that. And I think you should know how to keep yourself calm most of the time. Just relax lazybug.. :)

First of all, you should find out the reason of those attacks. That's the only way to get them not only treated, but even resolved. Since some weeks ago, I also suffer these attacks, but in my case I already know the problems on which those feelings are based on.

Since you've mentioned that you've frequently experienced anxiety attacks. I think the best ting you can do is to go see a doctor. If there is nothing to be anxious about, then why do you get anxiety attacks? Do you drink lots of coffee? Coffee can also cause palpitations. You should have a check-up done.

First of all, did you have an appointment at the doctor? I think you should first ask a doctor about this so that you will know that it is not a heart problem.
