Uprooting Your Life

For many years, my sister lived with and took care of my mother. And I was living and working here in the city. But my sister expressed intention of goin to the Caribbean to work. Her boyfriend works there and would pay for her plane ticket. For the longest time she had been dead bored with her life and wanted to do something about it. Can't say I blame her, she has every right to be happy. Now, if she do decides to go, I would have to pack my bags, give up my job, sell whatever belongings I have acquired through the years i was here and then go live with my mother. Not that Im ecstatic about it but as the youngest son I can't let my mother live alone. (Though she claims she can manage and she says not to worry about her.) Well, that just doesnt sound right for me. It would have been better if my mother decides to live with me here in the city but she's adamant about it, she doesnt want the noise and pollution. So, now I haven't said anything to my employer yet but Im already thinking of the life I would have in our backwater town. Just when I felt i've found the right job for me, a job i can grow old in... then here comes the need to uproot. Have u ever had this problem?

I had to make the decision whether to move to another town a couple of months ago, as my boyfriend was moving, and I chose to stay with my family in my own town instead of moving and I am very glad that I made that decision. I wouldn't have been able to do the same types of work if I had moved, and I would have been too far away to commute to my university course, as well. You just have to weigh up the benefits of moving and also the costs so that you can decide which decision would be the best for you at this time.
