Is it good habit? One or two discussions daily but comment back to all

Hello, yes it is good to post topics to which we can manage. It is not a site to post a news or views. It is site for discussion. If we will not comments on response how can be discuss on any topic. It is our moral duty to comments on responses.

I am a new member at MyLot. I never made discussion. I am very confused, what topic I will discuss. And I also thought about my responsibilities, to discussions that I made. I've had 3 days member of MyLot, but never made discussion. Will I get a penalty, if I did not make discussion?

Hi sureka! You see every user is different. Those who start discussions in bulk, just can not do justice with each and every discussion of theirs. They also do not receive much responses. I just can not start a new post every other day. I start a new post, only when I feel that I would be able to post my comments to the responses received.

Of course that's a good habit :). It is also a good manner too. Since you'll comment back to any responses, then the response giver would be grateful because you were reading their responses and appreciate it by commenting back :). It's also a better way to earn too! If there are more responses-comments back and forth, it would trigger a quality discussion. And since myLot prefers quality than quantity, then you may earn more too!

Hiii talkative women My habit is also like you only one discussion daily but I am maintaining my unique way of discussion like start discussion on same interest full week. I think this is my unique way and nobody can maintain this. I also comment back to all therefore mostly my discussion is appeared in digest. Today my discussion got first position in digest.

Hi Surekharathi! Well, i am only new in this arena of mylot. I really don't know the essentialities here. But, if someone comments inn my discussions, i easily reply them back because i like maybe exchanging ideas and talking to different kinds of person. I begin to love mylot now.

I am not really a discussion starter but whenever I do that..I don't really make comments in all the response I get in my discussion..I usually make a comment back only if it is needed or I got something to say or else I avoid saying sort line comments like oh great..thank blah blah etc but I do check my post on time interval to see if anyone got to say something on my post.

hi laughing womman this really is a great habit as we responders love to know that the poster really did read our discussions. This keeps the discussion going and others come in and comment and we have fun going back and forth. You always do that and we all appreciate so much. we have fun and laughs and enjoy ourselves on your discussions too.I also do not make more discussions than I can easily comment back on.

I haven't even started a discussion in a long time becuase it is difficult for me to keep up with! I like responding to discussions better I think. I like to reply to every person who puts a response on my discussions but I only put one up every now and then!

yes everyone has to try to respond back to the discussion they started or to their friends discussions.Should make a habit and start limited discussion so that they can handle every comment .It depends on each person that how many discussions they start and manage to comment each.

Oh yes it is a good habit to comment back to the responders. Many of us do respond with well thought out responses and also search the net for helpful information and if we do not receive a comment back how will we know that the member is even reading our efforts. Sadly with time many stop responding to the discussion starter. I don't blame them for doing so as no one likes to talk alone. lol Some members are not aware that they actually can return anytime to comment back, so I think that some think it is too late where you and I know it is never to late to comment back with useful comments. Then there are those who feel they are earning for the responses which once again you and I know we do not earn for the efforts of others. One thing for sure is that anyone who does not comment back is missing out on getting to learn more and about one another here on myLot. This is the best way to get to learn about one another is when we are chatting back and forth.

I also love to go back to my discussion and comments back to my friends that I meet the discussions. I also think that this is a respect for them after they responded to our discussion. so I totally agree with you. I do not know why many users do this. to me it is interesting to see that I can talk to someone on a topic and discuss different things. I was just curious if it is so, or man ka missions across the monitor. very good discussion. nice day!

Hello Surekha, Oh yes it is indeed a good habit comment back to all the responses you get on your discussion.I also ensure that i commented on all the responses though it may be delayed and thats the reason i seldom start discussions despite of having lot of ideas which can be converted in to a discussion. Yes when a person has a reputation of interacting well with people there are chances that his/her discussion with fetch more responses and ultimately having more chances of that discussion to appear in the daily DIGEST. As such there is no compulsion that OP has to comment back but we should as to acknowledge the responder that his/her response has been read.

Yes, it's not only a good habit, it's important to to show our gratitude for attention received and enriches the discussion !

What you are saying, is absolutely correct, in my thinking! If no one comments back, it is like you are having a one-sided conversation, with yourself. I have noticed that you are very good about responding! I very seldom start discussions..as I feel if I start one, I have the obligation to respond. Knowing that I am limited to my time here, (as I work full-time) I very seldom start a discussion, as I will not be able to comment back...and in my books...that shows a lack of respect! This is just the way that I see it!

At the most, I would only start two discussions in the course of a single day. The reason that I do things that way is because of the fact that I want to be able to read the responses that I get on the discussions that I've started and I want to respond to what every person has to say on the discussions that I've started. With that said, it annoys me when there are people that start tons and tons of discussions and never respond back to anything that was said in the discussions that they've started.

Even the experienced persons are also facing that problems. It's depends on the type of content. If one should very well known about that, they can more interestingly moving further. And it also related to friendship.

Well, I think that is a good idea. I do not start many discussions because I always find myself catching up on all my friends discussions. But, When I feel comfortable is when I start a discussion, unless it is something that I feel strong about. I have a long way to go to get caught up. So, if you're pretty up to date then starting one or two a day is a good idea.

I believe that some mylotters post a discussion in which it is not really their interest of, or just post anything to ask just to earn a points, so they tend to leave because their discussion can be answer with just a straight forward words that starter cannot comment back except thanks or flowery word!

I don't think it is necessary to comment back to people who comment on you but I believe it is a POLITE thing to do. I am new here in Odesk and I feel happy whenever the author of the discussion reply to my comment. I feel that he values my opinion. I comment back in as much as possible but of course, due to time restraint and other things to do at hand, my comment will not be in real time.
