Finally, I found a topic for me to discuss. I was inspired, from the discussion one member of MyLot (hendriyati), who is also a new member like me. In the discussion, there is a comment, that, MyLot does not make the rules, to put the discussion, at the appropriate interest. So, we can put the discussion, on any interest. How about you? Are you going to put your discussion, at an appropriate interest? If you choose, put your discussion, the interest that is not appropriate, what's your excuse?

There is no need to select exact interest you can select a appropriate one...You have to select the interest in which you are interested and start a discussion as you did it now.. That's it... All the best for your future in mylot...

I do try to cater my topics to the appropriate interest. It was the very last topic that I did not to see what if anything it mattered to me.
I did not have an issue with catering it to the different interest, so I did not see any type of change by doing so for me.
I rarely look at the interest when I open a discussion, as my main interest is the actual topic itself. I do not search by interest so I suppose this is why it really does not matter to me.

I wld put it in e right category. However, I believe there r times when e discussion might fit into several categories. If that's e case, I might decide to put it in e category where my ranking is e highest (ie. comparing e different categories where I hv posted or hv started discussions).

I always try to choose an interest and make sure that it is both an appropriate and a popular one (there are many duplicate interests because many users, in their ignorance, have created new interests where one already existed, and some are better subscribed to than others).
Choosing an appropriate interest can greatly influence whether you get many responses or none because many MyLotters check topics from their own (subscribed) interests first.
The only excuse for not choosing an appropriate interest (or any interest at all) is either ignorance of how MyLot works or pure laziness.

It might have been something to do with Jesus or fixings or people mussing up your favorite apparel for all I know ... backtrack these:
Jesus OR fixings - nails - Jimmy Nail (the singer) - "Crocodile Shoes" (the song)
favorite clothing - 'don't step on my Blue Suede Shoes'
I bet that you could get even more devilish if you wanted to!

You stand to lose if one searches by 'interests' For example if you talk about travel under 'myLot' then those who search under 'travel' will not find your topic there. But there are many here who search for their favourite users' topics and when that happens sky is the limit to put your topic under wrong interests!
