Blogging takes some time to develop. But once it is set up and becomes popular, it will generate income for you without less work, compared to mylot.
For mylot, you will earn money for the here and now, but once you stop typing, your earnings will stop too. As such, it depends whether you want to earn something passive or active.

I have yet to make any money from blogging so my answer here would be mylot has paid me better. Then again I don't blog consistently... so that might be a problem. I find mylot easier to earn from for sure.

I use both MyLot and my various blogs to help me earn a little extra money and every little bit helps.

In the short term, myLot. In the long term, blogging.
As for which is "better", that's subjective. Blogging is more work and requires commitment or you won't earn more than pennies a month; myLot pays less in the long run but there's less work involved.
Ask Scarface2010 about successful money-blogging: that's where he earns a fair bit and he's experienced in it.
