I am a student of Chemical Engineering at the university of Salerno, near Neaples, here in Italy. Every time I have to study a new exam I just put myself in my room and start working hard. I just spend my little spare time with my girlfriend when it is possible to go out in the evening. After I do the exam i generally don't know what to do. It is a strange sensation. You just have worked hard for many days, during the morning and during the afternoon. Sometimes also during the night. And finally after doing it you come back home and you feel a bit strange. You make a mechanical reasonment and you think that you should do something, because you haven't realized yet that you have nothing to do because you are free of duties. So in these cases you could react in two ways. Or you just start studying another exam thinking that you must never stop, either you have a break of some days and realize that you are nearer to the graduation! What do you generally do after an exam of an important work, before starting another one?

I usually relax. If I continue reviewing for an exam or just continue doing the work, I might lose my senses. haha. I also like putting quality to my work so I believe that putting gaps between major projects are necessary to preserve our energy. But it's different for writing wherein you have to do it continuously, otherwise you will lose your muse and get a writer's block.
Something of that sort :)
