Our voice the the principal means of communication. Voice professional like singers, teachers, call center agents and TV/radio announcers among others rely on their voices either for work o leisure. Relative to this is the awareness of one's voice. Some of us suffer hoarseness after a hooting match or singing in the videoke bar all night long with family and friends. In some cases, handful of singers misuse or even abuse their voices in ways they are even unaware of. Prolonged hoarseness must not be neglected it might be the earliest sign of laryngeal cancer especially for those who smoke excessively and are frequent alcoholic beverage drinkers. Vital to the diagnosis and treatment of voice problems is early recognition and early treatment. Significantly caring for one's voice in a right way start within the person himself. Listen properly to yourself and to your voice.

This is my response ... sorry if wrong I think, how to care our sound can be done in several ways, such as: - Lots of rest - Don't force our voice to shouted - Sometimes drinking warm water - If you cough, should don't be forced to sing and when cough, should drink warm water

Yes, your right. If we cannot talk. How can we be able to communicate. Sleep a lot is the best.

Listen to your Inner Voice and it is even better. I am an introvert so no one knows it better than me. It is like another person living inside you, always with you, helping you get by.

I always wondered why little kids can scream and yell and shout, talk endlessly and cry without ever being hoarse. Hoarseness starts at an older age. Before you are free to yell and scream forever without harming yourself. It probably is a way to survive and ask for attention in cases of need. With elder kids, teenagers, adults it's different. After 1 week camp even without screaming around you come hoarse and with a soar throat back. A sign for the parents you had fun. I think the only way to safe your voice is to live and speak in harmony. To breath at the right time. Not to try to over shout others or any music. As soon as we want to heard we are forcing our voice in a way it should not be and harm ourself.
