99 Cent Domain Name - Unheard Of!

Hey fellow myLotters, For anyone who has ever uttered the words that they can not afford a domain name, there are no excuses now! I just ran across a deal before that I've never seen before. 1and1.com is now offering .COM domain names for only .99 per year! This is unheard! So there's no excuses now not to have your own domain name - and a top-level .COM at that - which everyone know is the KING of all domain name extensions. So what can you do with a domain name? 1. You could build your own website around it. 2. You could sell it for a profit. 3. You could simply use it to redirect your affiliate/referral links These are a few main benefits that you can have with your own domain name. Ok so that's it...No more whining about not being able to afford your own domain name. It doesn't get any cheaper than 99 cent. P.S. I am not affiliated in any way with 1and1.com. Just wanted to share this great news with fellow mylotters because I've heard several members say they couldn't afford one. BTW The offer expires on October 31st so I'd suggest you hurry coz everyone is trying to grab up the best .COMs left. I'm gettin me about 10 soon as I figure out which ones I want. Got a ton of em already lol...

Wow, this is the cheapest price I ever heard! Before this, I heard about the price around $2 - $3... Thanks for the information! By the way, multimastery, is it safe and reliable? I mean how can they survive the business by selling that cheap domain if there's no "additional terms and conditions"? And also, what's their payment option? It seems I can't get to know it from only the main page..

Well I have never even seen a .COM at $2 or $3. Perhaps a .INFO or something, but we're talking a .COM here which makes it such a big deal. A good .COMs are like GOLD on the Internet these days. Some people even buy them for hundreds, thousands, even MILLIONS of dollars. This is only offered until the 31st of this month according to what there promo says, so they're definitely not stupid to go broke with this offer. Also it's .99 cent for the first year only (which is still unheard of for .COM. After the first year it's 9.99 per year (which is about the standard). Think they take PayPal and credit cards like most domain registrars. 1and1 has been around a while so they're proven to be a pretty reliable company.

Yeah that $2.99 at Namecheap is for .INFOs not .COMs. Big difference!

There's one who sell .COM for $2.99/year at here: http://www.namecheap.com/ . And as far as I know, it isn't promo, they will keep that price for the long time. Doesn't it sound more beneficial if we aren't planning to re-sell our domain? What do you think?

Hi multimastery, I am just wondering if it is really just .99? what if you don't want the domain name to be hosted on their site. I mean, I just want to register a domain (.com) from them and host it on my preferred hosting site. Is that possible? I think the .99 only apply on the first year of subscription which means for the following year the amount to be paid will be back to $9.99.

.99 is for first year only, after that is $9.99 per year. But you have to understand the big deal of being able to get a .COM domain for just .99 in the first place. If you don't fully recognize the value of this then you may not be able to fully appreciate a special like this. I don't see anywhere where it says you have to purchase a website or web hosting with them in order to get it at .99., but you could double check, but again I don't see that. You should be able to purchase the domain and then if you already have web hosting you can change the DNS and upload it to your site and host it there. This is what I do with most all the domains I own. I buy them and upload them to my Hostgator web hosing account.

I checked their site and I am tempting to purchase a domain because it says that the promo will only last until end of October. LOL! Oh yeah, .com and other top level domain usually cost $9 and it is a great deal to have your own domain for almost a cent. Thanks for this great information multimastery! Hopefully, I'll get my own domain from them and host if on my hosting site.

I hope you don't mind but can you check your control panel at 1and1 if domain forwarding is allowed for this $0.99 domain promo, multimastery? I am planning to forward the domain that I plan to buy at 1and1 to one of my affiliate links. I hope to hear from you soon.

Hi I browse some reviews about their company and its not good, they are all saying to stay away from 1and1. They are the slowest time to register your domain and the possibilities that your domain will not available or already taken after you had purchase one.

Mine went through yesterday, haven't had time to do anything with them yet, but I do see where you can change the DNS servers to point to a hosting account, so I don't see a prob. BTW which host are you using?

I don't know if 1and1 is perfect, no company is. But they have been around for years and surely stable enough to host a domain name. With the registration time I would take my chances for .99 cent. If you hesitate for a minute to grab up a domain name (especially .COM) it will be grabbed up for sure by others. That's just the way it is. P.S. And if you buy the domain and registration does not go through you should be allowed to your money back or choose another domain. No biggie.

Wow now that you say this I'm tempting too. Can I still use the same host that I am using, after buying a domain name at them? And when will I know that they are already registered? Hahaha so sorry I had a lot of question on my mind.

Oh wow this is amazing! I never thought I would get a domain for myself, at least not right now. Though I'll have to make sure to grab one before the sale ends. Thank you so much for posting about this!

Yes grab one! If it were just some .INFO sale or something then it wouldn't be a big deal. But for a .COM is ridiculous! If you are not aware at the potential value of good .COMs then just do some research. Again, some people just buy these .COMs and sit on them for a while - and then resell them to others for hundreds, thousand even Millions of dollars! True story: Facebook recently purchased FB.com for $8.5 Mil. Now just imagine if you would have purchased FB.com for just .99 cent and then sold it for Millions It's possible, here's the story: http://mashable.com/2011/01/12/facebook-paid-8-5-million-to-acquire-fb-com/

wow, this is very affordable thanks for sharing, but may I ask how much it after its promotion. And can we choose the name of domain or we can pick up whatever is available. Sorry I'm just new in this domain thing.

They say that it's $9.99 after first year (which is pretty much stand). But getting a .COM for the first year at just .99 cent is out of this world! You'll have to input the domain you want in their search box to see if it's available for registration. Believe me, people are grabbing up plenty of the good ones real fast on this sale coz they know the value potential of .COMs
