Finally I have the connection back after 5 days Yey!
This afternoon 2 tech support guys came to check the internet problem. What they did was use some magic for it work - it was using a different account of other people who also pays for their service. Well these guys are not actually working with the ISP, they are a contractor who fixes connection problem for the ISP. So I guess they don't really care if they steal other people's internet account name and use it for their own or in this case to us.
Good thing myLot was acting up so strange today, the tech guys are in the neighbor who offered to pay them to check on their connection. So I bugged them up again and told them I don't want to use other people's account (they said we are getting a higher speed if I use that account) - and told them to fixed it using our own account. Coz the reason why we are paying is for that account and not sharing with someone else's account. I also wouldn't want to suffer with speed if I shared on someone else's account.
First they told me if I used my account it really don't work - then I told them I would have to call my ISP then so that they could really fix it and not that option of using someone else's.. After saying that they called someone from their office, had the modem switched off for sometime, switched it on, put back our own account name - and in no time, it was working as usual!

What sort of tech support, is that? Instead of fixing the problem, they are trying to cheat and do it the easy way out. By stealing other people account, they may have put you into trouble later. If i am you, i will not want to use them in the future, and inform my ISP about their corner cutting method, and refuse to let the same company to repair my internet connection problem in the future. I want to use a legit. technical team that know how to fix the problem the right way, not the easiest way by using other people account for my internet service accountno matter what's the excuse they used. By the way, what's is the name of the tech. support company, i want to know what company is that.

Yes that was what I also thought of. The other guy was helpful but the other one is trying to make some money by telling me that since he had put an account with higher speed, I might have give him some small amount since they were only having little salary. I did not give in and I told him he can put back the speed I was having anyway.
Last year when I encountered the same internet problem, there were different guys who came over but never did such thing. They did their work and even opened the modem box to fix it. But this guy today is a little different.
I am really sorry I could not give you the name of the tech support company. I don't want them to be jobless because of me, I will only give them a hard time if these guys did not do what I want them too. But anyhow my account was back and I hope they won't share it with others.

well the very first thing I'd do is turn the modem/router off, unplug the power cord. Then after 5 to 10 minutes, I'd reconnect the cord, turn the router on. And there you go.
Usually they just need to "rest" and cool off so that they can work properly.
