I have no choice, I have to quit my job.

Today was the absolute last straw with the jerk who got us the Stratford job that never materialized. He seemed to think that he could overload my van with work materials, but when I started up my van to load it up, it was acting sluggish. So instead of caring about that, he told me to "f" off and leave, he would get a truck to pick the material up. He said I was done with him and my boss. I'm sorry, but I can't be done with my boss if she doesn't tell me that herself. He doesn't control her, nor does he control the work she has. He doesn't control the job we were doing, in fact, my boss got the job, but he just took over and thinks he's the boss. Ironically, the job we got is to renovate a house, and the client is a lady I used to work for when she worked in HR at the company I was at. I, among others, got fired from that job. But with today, I've had it. He thinks he can use me, but he's quite surprised that I'm not allowing it. I am tired of him using and abusing me. He acts like someone died and made him king of the world. He sexually harassed me constantly, and I warned him not to do this. I should have done something about that in the past, but I've deleted all messages he sent me, so there's no way to prove that he did that to me. I've had it. We haven't been able to look after our own clients because of him, he thinks that all of his jobs are more important than our own, ones we've had for years now. So I'm actively looking for something else. I will have to take a pay cut, but it's a sacrifice, if only to have a guaranteed income. Enough is enough. He's lied far too many times and I can't deal with anymore of it. I'll find something else and be done with landscaping for good. If I could work for myself, I would be happy, I could make all the money I want, and wouldn't have to worry about not being able to pay the rent. I'm hoping that things turn around quickly.

It does get to a point that one has to decide if it is still worth continuing this way. I think you have been disrespected for too long and for you boss not to intervene, that alone would get me to really re-think working there. Just try and line up something first as the job market is not so great. Good luck and whichever route you take I do wish you all the best.

Thanks. I'll see what's out there that I can do, but for now, I've applied for a few jobs online. I don't know what will happen, if I'll get interviews anywhere, but I'm hoping that someone contacts me soon about the jobs.

Kris has really devoted a lot of time and loyalty to this company, so she is really doing the right thing. I mean imagine a few years from now and or maybe next month, they can say bye bye and not care about all her loyalty.

I hope I find something soon. I hate to leave my boss in a lurch, but as long as he's around her, I refuse to do this anymore. I just can't do it anymore, it's far too stressful.

I hope you find something soon as well. I can see where iit would be stressful with him around and I sure would not do it. I know you hate to leave your boss in a lurch but if this guy is doing these things it is not worth the stress.

I read your other post as well. I am afraid I do not know what to say about things. A pay cut with guaranteed hours obviously earns more than a high paying job that is seasonal or has other ebbs and flows. I hope you find something that is good and pays well and that will not kill you.

The way I see it, it's exactly how you've put it. I need something consistent and steady, not a day here and a day there. I've done that for far too long, and I just can't do it anymore.

He sounds like the hagazz neighbour who thinks he's the superintendent of this building, but he really is not. What a dumb schmuck!! People like this aren't worth our time, and it's a good thing you can quit. I don't want to have to move out of here because I've been here longer than him, but the landlady is threatening to kick us both because of our problems. OUR problems? MY problem is he won't leave me alone, and HIS problem is he's a jagazz (and my other problem is that MyLot won't let me use the word i really want to call him LOL, so I have to curse creatively!).

I know the feeling. The words I have about this guy cannot be repeated here either. This guy makes me so mad.

It sounds like you have finally made up your mind to get your employment situation in order. Have you found something yet? I'm sure that you could do something that is similar to what you had been doing where you control it all instead of working for someone else. I think getting as far away from that jerk is the best thing you could do. Are there skills that you have that you could "sell" to friends and neighbors (and I don't mean your body...). I'm sure with everything you know how to do you should be able to get some kind of income even if it is slow to start with. I hope this will be a good year for you!

This is only a theoretical lutoon and you must under no corcumstances act on it, you could potentially get sued. (more for humour purposes than anything else). Rock up to the office, walk up to him with your biggest and brightest smile. Convince him to stand up... Then comes the moment of truth! Hit him where the sun dont shine, once hes squirming on the ground pour water on his face and kick him down there again while reciting words that rhyme with luck and duck and pluck and truck! After that demodify him by doing something silly with his cloths, i suggest cutting em off leaving him naked and wet on the floor. Probably this is the part where you pour lots of super glue and feathers on him plus a sign that says I am an ashmole, fondle and do things to me :) Then leave him a card that says with love "insert name" xoxo Hey I may not have advice for you but i hope this post makes you laugh hard core and destresses you even just a tad!

Let's not forget that overloading a vehicle is not safe. No one can fire you for refusing not to do something that isn't safe. Check the specs on your vehicle. You can check the total weight at any truck highway weigh station or even some scrap yards are happy to weigh you. In the business world today, it's safety first. The lawyers have taught them that one in the past.

Oh, sorry to hear about you quitting your job. I have recently quit my job due to bullying. Yes, bullying. At my age of 23, I never thought people older than me, called themselves professionals bully other people when they get insecure. Its hard to leave a job that you like but but its harder to keep it and see the people that torments you almost all the time.

My thought goes out to you.The unprincipled guy totally bore resentment against you and retaliated.Who is he?What right had he to dictate to you and said you were done with your boss?If my memory serves me well,Your boss is kindhearted. She gave you a helping hand personally in mowing last time.

It happened to me one time I stayed in that job for 5 years enduring a lot of humiliation. But one day I didn't have where to leave my son, so I took my son to my job, and they humiliate him too, that day I quit I couldn't endure it more. Even thought I didn't have another job and I was trying to quit for years but never could find a job until I quit, after a week I found a job, and in two weeks I had two jobs. I hope happen the same with you and you find a better job. Not body have the right to humiliate anybody.
