I have seen lot of people having aquarium in their house. Whenever i ask them they say that some their fish die either by jumping out of the water or for some other reason. Why does this happen?

Typically it's because they're confused. The glass sides of the tank often give them a reflection. They see other fish & things over there they'd like to interact with but there's some strange barrier they can't understand ( try explaing glass to a fish , it's not easy ). They try leaping over the barrier only to find there's no water on the other side...

I've honestly never heard of a fish dying just from jumping out of the water. Many types of fish out there have to jump outside of the water to catch flies. If a fish hits air for less than a second, it's not enough to kill it. I would imagine most domestic fish die from old age or unhealthy living conditions. Some people don't clean their tanks enough. Others may get eaten by new fish they bring home. I've heard of that happening a lot too.
