Nonito Donaire VS Omar Narvaez

Philippines
October 24, 2011 5:42pm CST
The fight between them was just so boring... The winner was clearly Donaire, since his opponent was rarely attacking, he was just defending most of the time. Even the crowd Booed the fight since it was like Donaire was hitting a rock that was just so firm but not fighting back... it went on for 12 rounds, and it was just on the 12th round that Narvaez fought a little back... What a waste of time..

Well Donaire being a knock out boxer, I guess he just want to prove that he can last the 12 rounds fight with Donaire without being KO. And he had just proven that to the world...

I think narvaez, want to prove to his countrymen that he really strong and no one will knock him down even is he lost the fight... But he should do something to impress people around the around that he really a fighter not just a boxer... A boring fight am so annoy when I watch the fight

With an impressive record of win and no loss, I think losing the first time will not tarnish his boxing record. And being a champion too in his native country he had just proven that he can not be knock out even his opponent is that good.

It was really indeed a waste of time not only for nonito but also for me. i was on duty in the hospital during the time when those two boxers fought in the ring. i even stopped working from time to time just to take a glance at the future ring legend but i was not satisfied with what i saw.nevertheless, that was still a respectable win for nonito.too bad for me because i piled up pending work after the fight.lol!

I feel bad for you too- i bet you were expecting a great fight which is why you missed work. but yes, Doanire did put up a good fight for 12 rounds, he was so aggressive even though he was just like punching a punching bag.

I guess we all are. With narvaez impressing fight records most of us especially boxing aficionados expects that this fight is something to watch. But sad to say it didn't turn out to be what we have anticipated.

I was really expecting a great fight from donaire and narvaez. given the fact that nonito just came from a spectacular performance by humbling one of the world's top bantamweights in the stature of fernando montiel, everybody not just hardcore boxing fans but also ordinary fightfans was excited to see yet another Manny Pacquiao in the making. well, boxers are also humans. if narvaez was too afraid to fight, then it only shows that protective instincts have prevailed over Narvaez' decision to engage in a brawl.

Well, you are lucky you were at work..the fight wasn't something to watch anyway. I bet even the promoters were disappointed. I hope Donaire's next fight would be much better..

Narvaez I think just stepped into the ring to prove that he can survive against the better and faster Donaire and get he's pay check, he succeeded alright but I don't think it would do he's boxing career any good. I don't think any promoter would want another boring match like that cause no one would buy tickets. Anyway "Mabuhay si Donaire"(long live Donaire)

I think so too- since he did say that he will not be knocked out by Donaire who is famous for ending fights early. He just prove that he is hard to knock out. I don't think he'd have any more fights since he is quite old now..
