I can't believe it, they got away from their owner and just wandered on the streets so the police had no choice but to shoot and kill them. TYhey were wild animals like lions, zebras, deer, bear...They just looked so pitiful lying on the ground, it was a massacre.. Do you think the police did the right thing? They were just protecting the citizens...

There was a story in the news where a man have several wild cats and different animals. He let them lose on the street and then he killed himself. When they found him it looked like he had been mangled alittle too. The authorities killed the animals. So sad. Why can't they tranquilize them and take them somewhere? WHy do they have to be killed?

Either could anyone else. I agree with you. People don't care about the animals. Just about themselves.

Was this at a zoo or something? Wow, lions and all that. I love animals and all, but I don't think they did the right thing unless they were about to attack them. They should have called animal services and let them handle it instead of just shooting them right then and there. That is sad.Or what about tranquilizers where was the owner of the animals when this was going on?

I haven't heard of this news at all... where did it happen? Poor animals, there were so many that were killed. I can't really blame the police since they were just doing their job and they weren't trained to catch wild animals.. But they could have called someone who does know how to catch them first...

Hi! This is a very sad news. I am an animal lover and pro wildlife. I think if the police viewed it as a threat to humans since these are wild animals they should have shot them with tranquilizer rather than true bullets.

I guess I am kind of on the fence with this one. On one hand I understand that they were wild animals and had to be shot but on the other hand I figured they could just as easily shot them with a traqilizer and shipped them off somewhere. But I think it was more if they simply put them to sleep where would they have kept them until they could ship them off. The guy at the farm disable the cages so they could not be used anymore. It was saddening to see the animal strewn about the way they were but I also understand the motives behind shooting them.
