What are clothes to you? Are they just to keep you warm and protected, just to not be naked so you can go out in public or do you like them for the fashion?

speaking of Clothes.... the only thing that comes unto my mind is the second self defense of protection... like a force field or power guide.... whenever you pass plant leaves and vines with thorns then your skin would not easily pricked or lacerated because a cotton wool that protects.... also by passing sharp edged corners of the cemented wall, clothes can be an added self-defense protection....

I'll be honest i like clothes because of the fashion. I don't know why i love fashionable clothes. I know clothes are for us to be protected and of course NOT look naked but i think cute fashionable clothes are a PLUS. When i sometimes work online my motivation is clothes to have fashionable clothes. :D i can't afford expensive clothes but i'm happy if i get cute clothes. I don't like clothes that show too much skin thats a bit "NO, NO" for me. :D

I live in t-shirts and jeans. Clothes are just things to wear. I'm no fashion plate . But I do like to shop for clothes.

to me clothes are a way of expressing myself! my moods, my tastes, my likes and dislikes.. i consider myself to be a unique individual and i love clothes that are unique, or vintage so not many people have them, or even limited editions and one offs! clothes are a way to show people outwardly, who i am internally.

Yes, to me, clothes are for protection, physically, mentally and socially. Physical aspect need not an explanation. For mentally, I think wearing the right kind of clothes help me think and feel right. It boosts confidence, moral, etc. Aren't there times when you feel unsure and anxious because you are uncomfortable in the clothes you're wearing? For social protection, I think that points to a sense of belonging. But of course, individuality and self-identity could not be sacrificed, so that's where fashion comes in.

Our clothes would have different meanings based on the situations we are in. For example, clothing for a homeless person would mean something entirely different than a model is wearing. I have no desire to go out naked and do like my own style of clothing. Tomboy meets trendy would be a polite way to describe my style. I appreciate that my clothes meet my needs and am fortunate to have the clothing I do. Clothing is vital when you live in Canada or, at least, in the fall, winter and spring.

I am not very interested in fashion and I don't care if the clothes that I buy are popular or not, I just pick what I like. I have many kinds of clothes, some of my clothes I buy in second hand shops, and sometimes I am able to find some nice clothes there. In the winter months I always wear jeans and a sweater. I like dresses and skirts, but it is too cold to wear that kind of clothes in the winter. In the summer months I often wear a dress or a t-shirt and a skirt. If our climate were different I would wear dresses in the winter as well, but it is simply too cold for that.

I definitely feel as though clothes are a fashion statement to me. I'm not someone who spends tons of money on clothes...In fact, I get a lot of my brand name clothes from Marshalls and the thrift store, but I do like to make a statement with the clothes I wear. My style is really laid back, but sometimes I like to dress ultra feminine. Clothing is a way for me to express my mood that day. It's also of course a great way to keep warm. Now that the cold weather is coming, I'm loving my sweaters and hoodies!
