I want to enjoy my schooling/college life. I am really stuck with this question: Is it necessary to become an achiever in school. To become an achiever, I must study tightly, participate in the activities which the school held, and join in different organizations. But, is will follow this, I am worried if maybe I will not enjoy my college cause I do not want to become pressured with this things.

well, I am not an achiever in school, i am just an average student. sometimes i am just happy go lucky. i dont join in different organization. my aim i just to graduate within 4 years. i dont want to extend it with another year and it happened. I cannot do what i cannot do. Even i study hard, it is still me. my memory is not so sharp to become an achiever. Now i am a mother of 2 children, i also dont pressure them to become an achiever in school, if you born wise you will be wise forever, it doesn't matter what your grade is, but how you will use what you have learned in your life. Enjoy your life, being kids or being an adolesent or being a young adult only comes once in a lifetime.. enjoy everyday, so that when you grow old you will have a very good memories in your life.

I feel so good to hear your comment. We must indeed be wise in life. Being an average student will be much great but one must achieve good grades. :))

I don't think it's really necessary. Actually it's really up to the person if he/she wants to become an achiever. Of course, with that comes pressure. Everyone will be expecting you to always get high grades and excel in everything you do. But the advantage to having high grades is that I guess you can easily find a job. If you have an impressive resume, surely everyone will come running out for you.

Having high grades really gives you an edge. If you graduated with honors, then there's a really big chance to find a job easily. But you also have to strive hard and do your part as well. I also don't like to feel pressured at all. Just study hard and don't pressure yourself. Try to relax sometimes.

You might be surprised that if and when you did all these, you would find yourself enjoying college life. And when you move on from school, and have a career of your own, you will find that all these things you did prepared you to bigger and better things. And I'm sure this is more enjoyable than the temporary 'enjoyment' of not becoming an achiever in college.

Well, I had already fixed to myself that I won't join these sort of things anymore. I had already planned that it will be alright as long as I got passing grades on my subjects.

Every where u have to work hard and should be an achiever, where u stop achieving things then u are becoming a loser .Think of that.
When ur good at school u can be good at college,If ur good at college then u can get a good job.
If your good at job, your family does run good.Life will be good.
So that is ur choice what u want to become,an achiever or a loser .

I think, it is not really a loser thing as long as you got passing grades in school. I mean I just want to enjoy my college life.I don't want to be chained by the activities in school.

Well, I think it is up to me if I want too much exposure in school. As what you had said, passing all your subjects and having diploma is already all right.

I think it is important to have an achievement in your life. Nevertheless, people still judge us based on our achievement.
But, it is not necessary to join and get achievement in everything at your school. You can be the best at academics but not necessary in sports.
The most important is having at least one achievement to be proud of. If you like challenge, take it all. But not everyone is a superman.

Yes! Sports sounds fun to me. I like joining on sports activities in my high school years but not now on my college life. Well, I will follow what you had said and that is to focus to achieve something.

Hello kaich and welcome to myLot. I think that if you are going to spend the money That achievement should be your first priority. I don't know how college is paid for in your country but here most people have to pay for it with student loans or have their parents pay for it. If I were a parent paying for college I would be very unhappy with my child being more concerned with having a good time instead of looking to achieve a good education. You can always have fun after college. It's time to grow up.

I think you don't have to push yourself to be an achiever. As long as you passed in school and has above average grade that would be fine.Just enjoy your stay in school and don't mind it.Just study well and learn. You can be competitive but I think to be an achiever is not necessary. But it is nice to be an achiever.

You should always strive to exceed expectation in school! After all, education seems to be one of the primary factors in a getting a good job and having a successful future. If you are still in high school, you should strive to acheieve the best grades in prep for a successful future. If you're now in college, you should definitely attempt to do your best because its at the expense of your own finances. Plus you never want to waste time spent in class, then once you get out you can party and live it up as much as you want!
