They probably can unless they don't want to have a job or want to see U.S economy continue to falter. Not everyone in U.S is worry about the high unemployment rate in a stall economy, only those lay off workers and unemployed graduates are badly affected by the recession and high jobless rate in the economy, those who need to work and a permenant job to stay alive will get hurt badly again if they don't desert from him, but those who can afford to remain jobless due to personal/ family wealth and benefits he /she continue to receive from various sources can still remain their loyalty to the current president no matter how huge the joblessness is going to be in the next four years.

Hi Lampar,
I don't believe the politicians a lot. Yes, Obama has many good things but the crises is more than just jobs. I believe he or his administration should make some good plans and follow and not just announce many. There are so many announcements but fruits are less.

His administration does announced many big plans but few actually get done, most are rejected by congress. Even his own political party refuse to stimulate the faltering economy for the good of the average Americans except voted to give several hundred billion to special interest group like their favorite big banks and big car makers. Mr Obama did make many grand promises before his was elected, but then after he was elected, most of the promises are no more valid, they are just campaign slogan. It happened very often in American politic once a candidate is elected, since election is over, obama administration had forgotten most of the previous campaign promises except come out with more new promises to pave way for the next election, so you shouldn't be surprised more and more programs are needed to get re-elected. But the economy continue to recess and depress, while politician continue to pay lip services.

They probably won't because neither party is really trying to solve the jobless problem they're mostly paying lip service to the economy. I believe it will be Mr. Obama or former Gov. Mitt Romney. The jobless condition do makes a different, but with what has gone on so far with the president and congress this is a wide open election.
